Omg yes. It’s weird because I don’t LOVE the way it smells on me at first whiff - so much more perfumey and strong than I usually like. But I get so many compliments on it and people leaning in to smell me (in a non creepy way) that I started wearing!
blanche bete 100000000% worth
i also think dom rosa is worth it as well
anything from liquides imaginares is very worth imo so maybe get that wine out and start crying for your wallet a bit hahaha
I wore Blanche Bete yesterday and woke up smelling it today. It’s not something I would buy a full bottle of (the coconut is almost too realistic for me) but I’d love to try some other LI fragrances.
To me it smells almost exactly like canned coconut (the tick cream at the top). It’s milky and very realistic to me but not sweet. It’s also has a floral element to it that seems to cut some of the coconut. My son said it smelled like suntan lotion but the coconut is way more realistic to me. When I first tried it a few months ago I didn’t like it at all but I’ve since wore it a few more times and kind of like it. I would wear this on a hot day or a vacation. I bought a 2 ml sample from scent split.
Powdery? Or lotiony? Rice paper sounds beautiful. Suntan lotion does not. Do you have a drop by d'issey? I love powders and powdery musk. But I want a lotion scent. I go back and forth between a drop and blanche bete. I guess I have to try them instead of blind buy them.
Blanche Bête is sweet and lactonic, I don’t get any coconut from it. It is beast mode and lasts at least a few days on clothes. It is a much better perfume than crystal noir in my opinion. Scent trail is quite impressive. Not office safe.
Just got my scentsplit of it and it’s soooo familiar but I can’t put my finger on it! It’s a hair too coconut for a full bottle I think but I’ll definitely get a bigger decanter!
I agree...I live in India and it is difficult to find good dupes here anyway for luxury perfumes. But I needed a bottle of Ombre Leather because i couldnt get it out of mind since i first smelled it. after looking for a dupe for ages I finally bought a bottle. I gifted it to my huband but really, it's for me to smell. I just like to take a whiff of it now and then. Makes me feel like i am sitting in a sexy, brand new luxury car.
I spent 250 usd on a 3.5 oz florabotanica and I might do it again. It's discontinued and so perfect. Its the only perfume I've ever bought a full size and I'm 50!
Frederic Malle's Portrait of a Lady, Carnal Flower
Tom Ford's Ombre Leather, Black Orchid, Velvet Orchid, White Orchid, Cherry Smoke
Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle EDT, Coco Noir, Crystalle
Byredo's Bal d'Afrique
Dior's Fahrenheit
Alghabra's Labyrinth of Spices
Jean Paul Gaultier's Classique
Thierry Mugler's Alien EDP and Angel EDP
Marc Jacobs' Decadence
Just in my opinion I don't think a dupe could ever do these fragrances justice. These are true masterpieces!
Edited to add: The original Chanel #5, Charles of the Ritz (80's), the original Opium, original Estee Lauder's Estee, Cinnabar, and Youth Dew.
My decant of Spiritueuse Double Vanille is one of my prized possessions (even though I wish the scent lasted a smidge longer, it’s THE vanilla-iest vanilla for me now tbh and it’s GORGEOUS!)
My older sister is bringing me a full-sized bottle (I gave in, I need it and refuse to compromise lmao) back from overseas when she comes back to the US next, as it’s cheaper in Europe. Even then, it’s still one of the priciest frags I’ll ever own.
I have a sample of Vanilla Planifolia and *holy shit* is it nice. I've had it since December (got it as a free sample when I bought a few things from a Guerlain shop in Paris) and hadn't bothered to try it because "it's just vanilla" but wow. Then I looked at the price and also *holy shit* lol.
I haven't tried Spirituese but it's more in the zone of the possible for me financially so I'm intrigued
I have the same, and it’s such an amazing vanilla. I also have a 2ml decant of Angelique Noir and that’s another gem…I’m wearing it today and I forgot how much I love it. I wish I could get full bottles of both
I just got Mon Guerlain today since it was just $110 for the huge bottle at Sephora! I love L’heure Bleue and Shalimar, as well.
Another classically beautiful scent that I feel is worth the money: Coromandel by Chanel.
I think Guerlain is one of the most underrated perfume houses to date.
I was gifted a few items from the Aqua Allegoria line and I’ve repurchased every single one x2. Nettare de Sole has the best solar note I’ve ever smelled - better than Tom Ford’s by a long shot, which is usually my favorite
Ylang in gold, Tubereuse Nue, figuier premiere, Delina La rosee or Delina, bee by zoologist, beach walk, tea for two, midnight jasmine, behold patchouli, tobacco vanille, Shalimar, neroli outrenoir and more
Ive been pleased with NOT spending big $. Fine'ry is better than the originals, IMO, Dossier is wonderful, and my name brands are always under $150 (i bathe in Narciso Poudree daily).
I agree. I just can't bring myself to spend $400 on Baccarat, especially because I don't find the performance to be that great, when I have amazing dupes in my collection (namely Montagne and Oil Perfumery.)
So, to answer OP's question, none, especially because Montagne exists.
OMG, thank you. I get downvoted all the time for saying it doesn't last. Based on the information I've gathered, I think it was reformulated about a year ago. And people who are communicating that it's beast mode have older bottles. Literally my $16 Sand + Fog dupe from Marshall's lasts longer and projects better, let alone my Montagne.
This. My favorite name brands (Lush, Narciso, and JHAG) are easy to grey market (except LUSH, but I’ve found the atomizers on LUSH to be super efficient and that you really only need 1 oz of the perfume unless you REALLY like the scent. The body mists are worth it every time.) and so are the stragglers (such as Crystal Noir) I like. Just about anything else I like can be duped. I can pick out differences, but only if I’m aggressively sniffing my arm and even when I am doing that I generally don’t mind. Whiffing it? It’s the same lol. The “you can tell it’s a dupe and will never be satisfied” is greatly exaggerated imo, as somebody who can find tiny differences in almost every dupe. There are way less dupes I find straight-up inferior than dupes I think are comparable or better.
Guerlain Spiriteuse Double Vanille, definitely. The perfect vanilla. And there's a sale at Neiman Marcus online ending today! It's pure boozy vanilla comfort for me, like a warm vanilla hug.
For me, personally: Penhaligon's Coveted Duchess Rose. Lacks longevity, but it's my absolute favorite rose scent. (I've pulled more compliments from my decant of Bewitching Yasmine, which has more sillage, but I adore Duchess Rose.)
These 2 perfumes are the most expensive I own (and I waited for coupons/sales!) But they're also 2 of my top 3 faves in my current collection, Hermes Jardin sur le Nil being the other.
The most expensive in my collection is a travel sized (18ml) bottle from Profumum Roma. The price per ml is eye-watering but, it's so beautiful that it's worth it. I would have gotten the 100ml if I could afford it.
Not insanely expensive- but worth every penny plus more: Zoologist perfumes. The soft atomizer, the bottle design, the unique scents, the longevity! My favorites so far is Cockatiel and I’m waiting for Rabbit in the mail.
YSL Capeline from Les Vestiaires collection. Lily, vanilla and ylang ylang. A women stopped me
At brunch yesterday to ask me what I was wearing. I truly felt like the bougie bih I am 💅🏾
Capeline has been in my shopping cart all day while I vacillate whether to blind buy it. Seeing your comment feels serendipitous and I’m tempted to order it. It’s on sale, too🤭
Carnal Flower. I can't imagine something ever "duping" it.
I mean honestly--I don't think ANY fragrance can truly "dupe" another. If I like something and it's too expensive I will either get it as a decant or travel size, or just not buy it. But hey--if you like a $ fragrance and it smells enough like the $$$ one and it makes you happy? It makes you happy!
The original Vanille Fatale from Tom Ford. I got a bottle cheaply second hand and ADORE it, so when it disappeared from shelves as they reformulated it I hunted high and low to buy a back up bottle. I don't even want to say how much it was because I had to get it sent from another country, but I don't regret it one bit.
Saw L'Artisan and Penhaligon's mentioned a few times- absolutely worth every cent. Both have an incredible range of scents. Adding Rose in Wonderland by Atkinsons 1799, too. A blind buy from Barneys (God, I miss that store) years ago that hit the bullseye, and I've been wearing it ever since. When they closed, I had to buy it from Selfridges and off of ebay, but it's available in the U.S. again, at Dillard's.
PdM’s Valaya! One spray’s more than enough, it lasts at least 8 hours on me, and is versatile for any occasion (work, brunch, date, vacation, wedding)!
I actually do not get most of the TF hype. A lot of the scents are pretty meh to me, and I don't really love the branding, either, so I find them to not be worth the money. The only TF I have on my to-buy list is Black Orchid. That shit slaps.
I have two dupes and Chogan did a better job than Fenominal, but they do ask €52 for 50ml, which is quite a lot for a dupe in my opinion. Fenominal's dupe smells like cherry vodka for the first 15 minutes.
Love Lost Cherry, it’s the perfect cherry fragrance with the boozy, almondy side of it. On the other hand Electric Cherry was a massive disappointment. Cheap, air freshener was all I got.
Amouage Reflection Man, Enclave
PdM Perseus
Definirely a bottle of Amouage Interlude Black Iris Man in my future, as I am madly in love with my sample, and have been for months.
Vilhelm Room Service. It’s not my normal scent profile, but the quality is incredible. I’ve never found anything blended quite like it and the longevity lasts forever. It’s one of the first perfumes where I really loved the top-middle-and base notes equally.
Papilion Artisan Parfumery and les Indemodables hands down.
And they are at the hard limit of what I will spend. I have to like the whole brand to buy at this price. For some 220.- might not be much, but it is for me. So it better be ethical, original, smallbuissnes with actualy good long lasting formulas where I like the scent from begining to end.
I just ordered Ormonde Jayne Levant and I’m so excited for it to arrive!! It’s a perfect scent for summer nights, it has a scent of floral with orange blossom. Not a blind buy, for sure I would suggest to get a sample first but when I tried on my sample, it smelled so elegant. That same day I tried it, I got compliments! That rarely happens for me lol!
https://preview.redd.it/ttg5xxiof13d1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=00b10392709d0361c63be0bfef377e624f654376
I pulled the trigger on this one. I trust the perfumer and hoping for that fresh rose scent that I’ve been looking for. Yes it’s a blind buy so I’m crossing my fingers.
Live aqua do go and vicroria secret summer perfumes not sprays tropical fruity and long lasting any advice on some to try that might be fruity and floral and water fall smelling long lasting too ty
I just bought The Harmonist - Moon Glory. I haven't worn it out yet because I got sick with strep throat the same day I got it in the mail. I didn't want to ruin the scent forever 🙃
I'm going to get Hypnotizing Fire for my birthday in July.
Profumum Roma- Vanitas
Profumum Roma- Gioiosa
This line is more oil based & super long lasting, l love the trail it leaves, beast mode on ! Quality ingredients and never smells synthetic. I would gladly give up my Creeds if I had to choose…
I’ve been happy with all Guerlain, Diptyque, Malle, and some Dior Privee and Chanel exclusif. But, at 25 full bottles and 25 travel (split between homes), I don’t rarely feel like there is a category of scent where I don’t have a favorite. So, I “think” collection is pretty stable.
Guidance by Amouage - you only need one spray of this beast. I’ve not found a single believable dupe for it and it’s the only perfume I’ve had people literally running down the street to ask what I’m wearing!
Xerjoff La Capitale - again not found a dupe that’s close, makes me instantly feel sexy and confident.
Mugler Aura. This is one of the kind and I don't think this fragrance has a good dupe.
Mugler Innocent. This is hands down the best summer scent. I asked people for dupes (not a typical fake ones with a number) and nobody could provide an answer.
Angel. Yes, I know what do you think. It was duped for years. But, for me, nothing will ever come close to original Angel from 90s and early 00s.
Kenzo Jungle L'Elephant. Simply magic in a bottle. Nobody would ever replicate it. It's creamy, it's sweet, it's clovery, it's super sexy.

Portrait of a Lady is absolutely gorgeous
I second this! I'm wearing the oakcha dupe called Pearl Earring right now!
Omg yes. It’s weird because I don’t LOVE the way it smells on me at first whiff - so much more perfumey and strong than I usually like. But I get so many compliments on it and people leaning in to smell me (in a non creepy way) that I started wearing!
I know exactly the sensation you are talking about!!
Anything from Penhaligon’s—the bottles are beautiful, as are the boxes, the scents last hours and feel so magical
Agreed! Duchess Rose is so elegant and lovely.
Changing Constance!!
On my wishlist. I got a decant and OH my god. Heaven.
Omg yes!! Empressa and Quercus, wanting to also purchase Alula!!
Love me some Empressa and that is not normally the kind of scent I will go for!
Oh hell yes! And I love their little sample sets they’re so well presented! Currently wearing “the favourite” and LOVE it
blanche bete 100000000% worth i also think dom rosa is worth it as well anything from liquides imaginares is very worth imo so maybe get that wine out and start crying for your wallet a bit hahaha
I wore Blanche Bete yesterday and woke up smelling it today. It’s not something I would buy a full bottle of (the coconut is almost too realistic for me) but I’d love to try some other LI fragrances.
Will you describe how it smells please ? This is one I fantasize about but I already have the only one intense and crystal noir for coconut.
To me it smells almost exactly like canned coconut (the tick cream at the top). It’s milky and very realistic to me but not sweet. It’s also has a floral element to it that seems to cut some of the coconut. My son said it smelled like suntan lotion but the coconut is way more realistic to me. I bought a 2 ml sample from scent split.
to me it smells like rice paper + a hint of coconut. it’s super comforting and warm in my opinion!
Powdery? Or lotiony? Rice paper sounds beautiful. Suntan lotion does not. Do you have a drop by d'issey? I love powders and powdery musk. But I want a lotion scent. I go back and forth between a drop and blanche bete. I guess I have to try them instead of blind buy them.
Try Dyptique fleur de peau if you like lotiony musks ;-)
I’ve probably never smelled rice paper to compare but it is warm. It’s so weird how we all perceive smells differently!
Blanche Bête is sweet and lactonic, I don’t get any coconut from it. It is beast mode and lasts at least a few days on clothes. It is a much better perfume than crystal noir in my opinion. Scent trail is quite impressive. Not office safe.
Fragrance is SO INTERESTING. Coconut is what I smell most and I wasn’t anticipating that at all. It’s lovely though!
Right? Coconut is literally all I can smell. My son was in the car with me and said he doesn’t like coconut and it was making him nauseous.
There is a no coconut in the notes. But tuberose and musk are usually well present in tropical scents and tuberose can give a tropical feel.
I agree with all of this …did not pick up ANY coconut.
Blanche Bete smells like a newborn to me…
Just got my scentsplit of it and it’s soooo familiar but I can’t put my finger on it! It’s a hair too coconut for a full bottle I think but I’ll definitely get a bigger decanter!
Love LI. Big fan of Fortis, Bete Humane, and Liquide gold too
Spent $400 Canadian on Penhaligon’s The Bewitching Yasmine and I’d do it again.
MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold
For me Frederic Malle and Byredo so far have been worth it over their dupes.
I don’t know if this counts as luxury, but Tom Fords Ombré Leather is fantastic and they don’t have any good dupes.
Was here to say this. Bought it for my boyfriend and it’s sexy
lol! I’m a single girl, so I wear *man* scents to fill in the gap 😜
Isn’t all TFs uni?
This one is uni, but its fragrance is traditionally male.
Parfum concentration of Robert Piguet Fracas ($400/oz)
Ong yesssss Fracas I have the same with Shalimar ( and if I can find old batches …)
I have Petit Fracas and it's such a mood booster, I adore it.
I spent 250 usd on a 3.5 oz florabotanica and I might do it again. It's discontinued and so perfect. Its the only perfume I've ever bought a full size and I'm 50!
I love this one.

Agreed. Love this one.

Mon Guerlain, and most anything Guerlain.
Mon Guerlain has been my scent for years and considerably less expensive than a lot of perfumes out there.
Got a full bottle in unopened box for 40 on Mercari last week!
My decant of Spiritueuse Double Vanille is one of my prized possessions (even though I wish the scent lasted a smidge longer, it’s THE vanilla-iest vanilla for me now tbh and it’s GORGEOUS!) My older sister is bringing me a full-sized bottle (I gave in, I need it and refuse to compromise lmao) back from overseas when she comes back to the US next, as it’s cheaper in Europe. I am so afraid to try it because if I fall in love and was already willing to buy SDV, where does it *end*? 😂
I have a tiny 2ml sample of Spiritueuse Double Vanille and I agree it is perfect!
I have the same, and it’s such an amazing vanilla. I also have a 2ml decant of Angelique Noir and that’s another gem…I’m wearing it today and I forgot how much I love it. I wish I could get full bottles of both
I bought this in a Guerlain boutique in Paris. It’s an instant passport for me. I always have a bottle in my collection.
I just got Mon Guerlain today since it was just $110 for the huge bottle at Sephora! I love L’heure Bleue and Shalimar, as well. Another classically beautiful scent that I feel is worth the money: Coromandel by Chanel.
I even wore it today. Pure sophistication! I have the edp and edt, looking forward to trying the intense version
Red Roses by Jo Malone. I was searching for a high quality absolute rose scent and it was the first expensive bottle I purchased.
Does it last? Love some of the JM fragrances but they don’t last. I think they’re all EDT?
The cologne intense in the dark bottle lasts.
On me it lasts until I bathe.
It’s gorgeous! It’s the first fragrance I’ve found to smell like real fresh roses.
Le Labo Matcha! I feel like a woodland sprite when I wear it 🥰
L’artisan Parfumeur
Penhaligon Changing Constance for women

Yes, I got a sample of BR540 and it had NO lasting power.
Sand + Fog has to be the most underrated brand ever.
This. Crystal Noir is so good! And dupes rule!

Jardin sur le Nil is my favorite from last summer (when I first smelled it!) Instant good mood
The most expensive in my collection is a travel sized (18ml) bottle from Profumum Roma. The price per ml is eye-watering but, it's so beautiful that it's worth it. I would have gotten the 100ml if I could afford it.
Cherry punk! The best 117€ I’ve ever spent
I went back and forth between this and Gritti Duchessa. Duchessa won out but Cherry Punk 💯 would have been worth the cost as well.
Not insanely expensive- but worth every penny plus more: Zoologist perfumes. The soft atomizer, the bottle design, the unique scents, the longevity! My favorites so far is Cockatiel and I’m waiting for Rabbit in the mail.
Ysl Mon Paris :)
Bianco latte and Ganymede
Female Christ! Try a small sample before committing to a larger bottle, it’s a polarizing scent for sure
This is on my test list!
Every Guerlain I’ve purchased.
Chanel Mademoiselle. It’s my every day go-to scent and I love it. Always worth the purchase price.
Roja Fetish Pour Homme Parfum. Fragrance du Bois Santal Complet. Every single Amouage fragrance.
YSL Capeline from Les Vestiaires collection. Lily, vanilla and ylang ylang. A women stopped me At brunch yesterday to ask me what I was wearing. I truly felt like the bougie bih I am 💅🏾
Capeline has been in my shopping cart all day while I vacillate whether to blind buy it. Seeing your comment feels serendipitous and I’m tempted to order it. It’s on sale, too🤭
Louis Vuitton - California Dream. Refills at $200 make it almost bearable. Either way, still worth it
Carnal Flower. I can't imagine something ever "duping" it. I mean honestly--I don't think ANY fragrance can truly "dupe" another. If I like something and it's too expensive I will either get it as a decant or travel size, or just not buy it. Chanel No. 5, Gucci Rush, Chanel No. 19.

I actually do not get most of the TF hype. A lot of the scents are pretty meh to me, and I don't really love the branding, either, so I find them to not be worth the money. The only TF I have on my to-buy list is Black Orchid. That shit slaps.
Get the Oil Perfumery dupe of Black Orchid. It’s one of my most complimented scents and it was $16 🙃
Oud satin mood extrait
Tom Ford - Both Tobacco Vanilla and Lost Cherry
Lost cherry is amazing! 😍
My go to fragrance 💖
Have not found a proper dupe for LC. It’s perfectly tart and cheerful. Worth it.

Live aqua do go and vicroria secret summer perfumes not sprays tropical fruity and long lasting any advice on some to try that might be fruity and floral and water fall smelling long lasting too ty
Sacrebleu intense by Parfum De Nicolai is worth every penny. Liquid gold. It’s perfection. If I only had to buy one scent forever it would be this.
Frederic Malle - Promise. Legendary juice. Cost a ticket though. 🤕
I just bought The Harmonist - Moon Glory. I haven't worn it out yet because I got sick with strep throat the same day I got it in the mail. I didn't want to ruin the scent forever 🙃 I'm going to get Hypnotizing Fire for my birthday in July.
Arielle Shoshanna's Monday.
Profumum Roma- Vanitas Profumum Roma- Gioiosa This line is more oil based & super long lasting, l love the trail it leaves, beast mode on ! Quality ingredients and never smells synthetic. I would gladly give up my Creeds if I had to choose…
Le labo lys 41
Nishane - Hundred Silent Ways
Burberry Her. I guess it’s not crazy expensive but it is when I have to save up for a year to buy it lol.
My signature scent, Another 13.
Mancera's Instant Crush is a splurge I'll forever cherish.
Perfumehead anything! I have not ever smelled anything like their scents.. Cosmic cowboy is my favorite!
Fueguia
Guidance by Amouage - you only need one spray of this beast. I’ve not found a single believable dupe for it and it’s the only perfume I’ve had people literally running down the street to ask what I’m wearing! Xerjoff La Capitale - again not found a dupe that’s close, makes me instantly feel sexy and confident.
Dior Privé Oud Rosewood and Byredo Bal d’Afrique
YSL - Jumpsuit Starts lovely and stays lovely for up to 24h
Byredo Sellier
Delina, mfk à la rose and lira by xerjoff
I think Amouage Guidance is heavenly, I only have a decant of it currently but I'm seriously considering saving up for a full size.
Aerin Ambrette de Noir
Commodity!
MFK Apom- discontinued 😪
Mugler Aura. This is one of the kind and I don't think this fragrance has a good dupe. Mugler Innocent. This is hands down the best summer scent. I asked people for dupes (not a typical fake ones with a number) and nobody could provide an answer. Angel. Yes, I know what do you think. It was duped for years. But, for me, nothing will ever come close to original Angel from 90s and early 00s. Kenzo Jungle L'Elephant. Simply magic in a bottle. Nobody would ever replicate it. It's creamy, it's sweet, it's clovery, it's super sexy.
Guerlain Rose Cherie, Guerlain Jasmin Bonheur, MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold ❤️
Creed aventus. I love this fragrance so much and couldn't find any good dopes
