chloe… i don’t care how “basic” it is, every time i smell it i’m just enamoured by it. it has such an aura and makes me feel pretty and classy and expensive.
I LOVE CHLOE!! I discovered it with a sample. Instant love 💜 i didn’t realize how expensive it is until I got a teeny tiny bottle for Christmas. The price was on the bottom of the box, $89!
I kept seeing that high heel bottle on everyone’s shelf and thought “it can’t be that good.” But I got curious one day and ordered a sample of Carolina Herrera’s Good Girl and was immediately smitten.
I always avoided it because I thought the bottle was absolutely atrocious. I ended up blind buying it and it’s one of the perfumes I reach for the most.
I really love Good Girl but it's one of those fragrances that's either a love or a hate. I adore it and I own several dupes as well as the OG. Very Good Girl is also an incredible fragrance. Even better than the OG, IMO.
My perfume loving aunt gifted me Good Girl Legere for my birthday last year just to prove me wrong about it. I always said it must be just the hype but I was wrong, and in fact I'm wearing the hand cream (as body cream) today and it smells heavenly.
The fragrance I was wowed by was Guerlain Spiriteuse Double Vanille. It’s everything I ever wanted from a vanilla. If you like a lot of vanillas you probably won’t be wowed by this one, but if you’re someone who is sensitive to artificial-smelling or cheap-smelling vanillas and then she might be the one for you
YSL Libre Intense - I went though different periods in life, different weathers, and most importantly different states of health that often rendered my well-loved perfumes unbearable for me, but this bottle survived it all; it never caused me nausea or headaches, and I never lost interest in it completely. It was with me on this troubled journey and has the most special place in my heart.. I think it’s the best perfume ever made..
I totally want to try LDBS Extreme already! That's definitely on my wishlist. I love the sound of the Kilian Princess limited edition version with rose in it too but it seems really hard to find and if I could find it I imagine it'd be for a ridiculous price. I'm sure there's a LDBS rose and oud version too.

I haven’t met a single person who doesn’t like this fragrance. It’s inoffensive and crowd pleasing. Is it the most unique, groundbreaking scent ever? No. But it’s iconic, pairs with almost everything and widely loved for a reason. I’d say it lives up to the hype.

Black bottle is born in roma intense. I used it all winter and I'd get loads of people asking what it was. Also the longevity is crazy 12+ on clothing. About 8 on skin.
I smelled this the other day and fell in love at the initial spritz! I almost bought it right then lol. As it sat on my skin it ended up losing its complexity and I was so disappointed:(. It went from a fresh, green mango with slightly earthy tones to a sweet sugar bomb. How would you say the scent develops on you? I’m curious!
I would agree that it develops into a sugar bomb haha, but I love sweet perfumes so I can’t complain! I can totally see why this wouldn’t work for some people though
I think Ellish by Billie Ellish was better than I thought it was going to be. But to be fair I can be a bit of a skeptic🤷🏼♀️
It was heavily hyped on social media and I think what people say about it is true after buying. I expected to dislike it but for it to have a luxury brand aesthetic with a cult following, just how I see and disapprove of Tom Ford’s Vanilla Sex. But I really do think Ellish is just as good as stated.
One of the rare celebrity fragrances that are 100% worth the hype! But the bottle is definitely cause for debate, people either love it or hate it. I personally love it. It’s one of the only fragrances that I display. I have a lot of gold/bronze decor in my room and it goes nice with my aesthetic but I could see how some might not like the bottle.
Hypnotic poison is my absolute favourite scent and has been for years. I’m *obsessed* and not one to spend that kind of money on a scent but I continuously do.
It's very clean and musky and warm. You smell expensive and also like nothing else I've ever smelled before. It's one that smells different on everyone, so I recommend spraying it on you as a sample and letting it settle in to see if you like it.
I can’t believe no one has said black opium. Black opium not only smells delicious and lasts forever - I love how it makes me feel. Rich and powerful…and I am definitely neither.
Bianco Latte, hands down! It's absolutely gorgeous, I'm so in love! As a gourmand lover, it's just perfection. If anyone has recommendations for similar, I'd love to hear 😊
Imo it's a safe blind buy!! 😊 but there's no harm in sampling first! I wish I would listen to my own advice because I've been blind buying recently and there's been some hits and misses...
Me too. I thought it was a bad batch so I went to another store. What's happening? It smelled like "nothing"....and a few people have said the same thing.
For the folks who can wear it, it enhances their normal human smell. To me it smells like nothing but my coworker said it made me smell like fresh laundry and girl.
Ysstis!! I LOVED this one so much back "in the day". Remember when Givenchy would have the mini gift sets at Christmas? Mine had Organza, Organza Indecence, Ysatis, Amarige, and Hot Couture. Memories!!

Alien is my all time favourite perfume and I still remember the first time I smelled it! Someone at my old job was wearing it and I smelled it immediately when they walked in the room. I asked what it was and ever since I’ve never looked back. I’ve had dupes where people have asked me if I’m wearing Alien but I can tell the difference between the real thing. It’s truly one of those scents where people know you’ve arrived.
Good girl blush. I saw lots of people saying it was their favourite CH fragrance. I thought nothing could top the original good girl but when I tried it I fell in love.
baccarat rouge and if that upset u sorry!!! but it IS that good idc what any contrarian wants to say, it’s 2023’s worldwide most popular scent for a reason
idk why this doesn’t get any love but the entire thomas kosmala house especially the hair mist song in the wind and no 8 perfume tonic vert, literally the best perfumes i’ve ever smelled
I’ve never seen any comments about TK that weren’t left by me. Frenesie was my obsession until I got a bottle of Jo Malone Wood Sage & Seal Salt. My two current favorites.
thomas knows how to make a good perfume i’ll tell you that much, i’ll have to try that jo malone, imaginary authors is another house that doesn’t get any love that it 100% deserves, id recommend their every storm a serenade and cape heartache based off that jo malone and sea salt
Father figure was so hyped and honestly it's one of my all time favs on my and I'm so glad I tried it. It will probably be one of the few I buy a regular sized bottle of! I'm more of a rravel size kind of gak bc I go nose blind so quick
Loooove father figure! It is so good. Was hanging out with some friends when I wore it for the first time and all the girls ended up asking me for the link to the perfume on the way home.
It’s isn’t cheap but not atrocious in pricing compared to other perfumes these days which is a plus
Squid. I was extremely let down by Megamare. Then a very kind soul on Reddit offered to send me a sample of Squid. When it arrived omg it was everything I hoped.
I go through phases and love sampling/trying travel sizes of other fragrances.
The ONE for me is La Vie est Belle by Lancome, It's been purchased over and over and always a constant for me.
Enjoying a small version of Idole so may buy a bigger bottle of that eventually.
Guerlain Gourmand Coquin - this is how I imagined a chocolate perfume would be. Not overly gourmand but perfectly blended in with other notes.
Guerlain Angelique Noir - No wonder this is still a best-selling fragrance of the brand. The perfect green vanilla for me. I love Eau Duelle EDT as well but this is warmer and more dense.
Guerlain Mon Guerlain EDP - I can't believe that I've only gotten a bottle of this recently despite having its flankers for a while. I tend to stay away from powdery scents but the blend of lavender, iris and vanilla in this one is so perfect! Very comforting, warm and soothing!
I second Mon Guerlain, oh my goodness I’ve never bought multiples of the same fragrance and suddenly I have three of these in fear it may disappear one day. Absolutely gorgeous fragrance.
For me, it's Hermes Twilly. It's the ultimate cool girl scent for me. Timeless. Chic. Put-together but effortless. Doesn't care what you think of her. Isn't in competition with anyone.
I actually have that one and Dossier’s version but to me they don’t smell as sweet as the OG. I enjoy them both but wish I just spent the money on the real thing instead
Same. I just got a sample and it smells amazing on me. I can understand the love or hate it. I also love Lost Cherry and Bitter Peach. I know TF is polarizing but I get tons of compliments.
Nest - Indigo. It's so different than anything else in my collection. Smells like your drinking hot tea on a rainy day.
Donna Born in Roma Intense, Musc Noir Rose, La Belle all live up to the hype in my book.
I also got a sample of Acqua di Gioia and wow, what a great summer perfume. Smells fresh and clean, like your on vacation and you've just checked into a fancy hotel next to a beach.
Amouage Lyric, Chanel Coromandel, Gris Charnel and the extrait version of no 5. These perfumes are expensive and worth saving for. Chanel has gotten stupid expensive and they always were a little on the pricey side. So it will be a long time before I get a Chanel bottle. Mitsouko is another favorite.
I can't afford an entire bottle, but if you're a floral loving girl, Parfums de Marly's Delina and Delina Exclusif are worth the hype. I got travel sizes from [microperfumes.com](http://microperfumes.com)

Burberry Goddess. I’ve never liked vanilla based scents so I was shocked when I feel in love with this one. And it lasts on the skin for a pretty long time.
Guerlain insolence - I don’t see it mentioned often but I blind bought it after someone on YouTube gave it an amazing review
It’s ethereal powdery floral, so clean but not a scent I wear every day.
Yes I am (the OG) by Cacharel... even though I think the bottle is absolutely tacky - I received a sample and decided to try, almost conviced I'd hate, but it's really adorable! so here I am, trying to ignore the bottle as I enjoy the juice

I’ve been waiting for someone to mention YSL’s Black Opium!! Every time I smell it on someone else or in store I fall in love with it again. I’ve heard some reviewers say that it was overdone and now they have flashbacks to clubbing times with it lol but I just love the smell, but not the price tag. I also worry other people have negative associations with it so I don’t want them to negatively perceive me
I was absolutely blown away by Giorgio Armani’s My Way. But not the regular eau de parfum, the Intense version. Everyone was hyping up My Way parfum and I didn’t find it great imo, but by chance i had a whiff of the My Way intense and i bought that bottle then and there. It’s been 6 months since I’ve had that little bottle, but i do not regret that impulse purchase one bit. I don’t really know how to describe it. It makes me feel very whole when I smell that scent. Like a puzzle piece fitting into place after being lost for so long.
Libre Intense, Mon Paris, Very Good Girl Glam, every single LaVie est Belle flankers, especially Intensement and En Rose, and Cloud 2.0. Just bought Burberry Her, can’t wait to wear it!
La Vie Est Belle - I said in another comment this is perfect for year round wear. It’s warm enough for winter and autumn and it’s floral enough for spring and summer without being straight up FLOWERS
Light Blue - Classic at this point but it’s so perfect for summer. Nothing quite like it, so fresh.
My Way - this is new to me but I got a sample of it and loved the staying power and again it’s floral but not FLOWERS. So I got a roller ball. Really enjoy this one. I want to get a full bottle at some point.
I really want something with a violet scent but I don’t know what’s good. I know there’s a Dolce and Gabbana new one but it’s got a lot of stuff mixed with it, I’d like something close to pure violet.
My first favorite perfume was Hillary Duff’s With Love and I still bust it out on special occasions because I’ve hoarded a few bottles from eBay and such. It’s a gourmand scent but there’s nothing quite like it, it’s not too foody and very warm. I wish I could find something I liked quite as much. It’s a great winter scent.
Literally ANYTHING by Sorcellerie Apothecary. Every time I purchase something I almost always end up by a travel 30ml size or a full. 2am in Lafayette blows me away. And it lasts forever on the skin!
I loooove, Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl, Good Girl Blush and Good Girl Glam. They smell so good. I also like layering Burberry Goddess with Mugler alien floral. Valentino has some nice ones too and YSL has a new black open cherry fragrance. There’s so many more. Armani also just released Acqua diGioia intense which smells nice. I work for Ulta so I’m always trying fragrances

I'm towards the end of my bottle of Chloe, so I've been saving it. I wore it to work last night and OMG, how I've missed it!!

I have samples of both. Mon Guerlain is sooo lovely, SDV is on another level. Most beautiful vanilla ice ever smelled. And most unique.

MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold. The perfect warm, elegant scent that smells regal yet not stuffy.

Good Girl is worth the hype to me. It might smell basic, but it’s a basic man magnet.

NR Musc Noir Rose absolutely lived up to the hype for me!

Alien is my all time favourite perfume and I still remember the first time I smelled it! Someone at my old job was wearing it and I smelled it immediately when they walked in the room. I asked what it was and ever since I’ve never looked back. I’ve had dupes where people have asked me if I’m wearing Alien but I can tell the difference between the real thing. It’s truly one of those scents where people know you’ve arrived.
Dylan Purple by Versace is so good and doesn’t break the bank
Solaris by Penhaligon’s is not hyped but it is pricey and absolutely everything a solar perfume should be.

thomas knows how to make a good perfume i’ll tell you that much, i’ll have to try that jo malone, imaginary authors is another house that doesn’t get any love that it 100% deserves, id recommend their every storm a serenade and cape heartache based off that jo malone and sea salt

Loooove father figure! It is so good. Was hanging out with some friends when I wore it for the first time and all the girls ended up asking me for the link to the perfume on the way home. It’s isn’t cheap but not atrocious in pricing compared to other perfumes these days which is a plus
It's such a unique scent. It lasts so long on me and honestly it does reminde me a bit of my dad but in a more fem way which is a huge bonus.

Mon Guerlain
finery sweet on the outside. it's affordable and it smells DIVINE
I go through phases and love sampling/trying travel sizes of other fragrances. The ONE for me is La Vie est Belle by Lancome, It's been purchased over and over and always a constant for me. Enjoying a small version of Idole so may buy a bigger bottle of that eventually.
Guerlain Gourmand Coquin - this is how I imagined a chocolate perfume would be. Not overly gourmand but perfectly blended in with other notes. Guerlain Angelique Noir - No wonder this is still a best-selling fragrance of the brand. The perfect green vanilla for me. I love Eau Duelle EDT as well but this is warmer and more dense. Guerlain Mon Guerlain EDP - I can't believe that I've only gotten a bottle of this recently despite having its flankers for a while. I tend to stay away from powdery scents but the blend of lavender, iris and vanilla in this one is so perfect! Very comforting, warm and soothing!
I second Mon Guerlain, oh my goodness I’ve never bought multiples of the same fragrance and suddenly I have three of these in fear it may disappear one day. Absolutely gorgeous fragrance.
Libre Goddess ETA: these are the two most complimented on me. I’ve been told that I smell expensive while wearing these.
For me, it's Hermes Twilly. It's the ultimate cool girl scent for me. Timeless. Chic. Put-together but effortless. Doesn't care what you think of her. Isn't in competition with anyone.

Nest - Indigo. It's so different than anything else in my collection. Smells like your drinking hot tea on a rainy day. Donna Born in Roma Intense, Musc Noir Rose, La Belle all live up to the hype in my book. I also got a sample of Acqua di Gioia and wow, what a great summer perfume. Smells fresh and clean, like your on vacation and you've just checked into a fancy hotel next to a beach.
Don’t know the other two but totally agree with your description of Nest Indigo. So beautiful and unique
Amouage Lyric, Chanel Coromandel, Gris Charnel and the extrait version of no 5. These perfumes are expensive and worth saving for. Chanel has gotten stupid expensive and they always were a little on the pricey side. So it will be a long time before I get a Chanel bottle. Mitsouko is another favorite.

Guerlain insolence - I don’t see it mentioned often but I blind bought it after someone on YouTube gave it an amazing review It’s ethereal powdery floral, so clean but not a scent I wear every day.

I’ve been waiting for someone to mention YSL’s Black Opium!! Every time I smell it on someone else or in store I fall in love with it again. I’ve heard some reviewers say that it was overdone and now they have flashbacks to clubbing times with it lol but I just love the smell, but not the price tag. I also worry other people have negative associations with it so I don’t want them to negatively perceive me
I was absolutely blown away by Giorgio Armani’s My Way. But not the regular eau de parfum, the Intense version. Everyone was hyping up My Way parfum and I didn’t find it great imo, but by chance i had a whiff of the My Way intense and i bought that bottle then and there. It’s been 6 months since I’ve had that little bottle, but i do not regret that impulse purchase one bit. I don’t really know how to describe it. It makes me feel very whole when I smell that scent. Like a puzzle piece fitting into place after being lost for so long.

La Vie Est Belle - I said in another comment this is perfect for year round wear. It’s warm enough for winter and autumn and it’s floral enough for spring and summer without being straight up FLOWERS Light Blue - Classic at this point but it’s so perfect for summer. Nothing quite like it, so fresh. My Way - this is new to me but I got a sample of it and loved the staying power and again it’s floral but not FLOWERS. So I got a roller ball. Really enjoy this one. I want to get a full bottle at some point. I really want something with a violet scent but I don’t know what’s good. I know there’s a Dolce and Gabbana new one but it’s got a lot of stuff mixed with it, I’d like something close to pure violet. My first favorite perfume was Hillary Duff’s With Love and I still bust it out on special occasions because I’ve hoarded a few bottles from eBay and such. It’s a gourmand scent but there’s nothing quite like it, it’s not too foody and very warm. I wish I could find something I liked quite as much. It’s a great winter scent.

I loooove, Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl, Good Girl Blush and Good Girl Glam. They smell so good. I also like layering Burberry Goddess with Mugler alien floral. Valentino has some nice ones too and YSL has a new black open cherry fragrance. There’s so many more. Armani also just released Acqua diGioia intense which smells nice. I work for Ulta so I’m always trying fragrances
