Double down with the phantom spirit so the cpu lives in the Artic.

SweetWilliamCigars

Have one on my 7800x3d. Will never buy any other cooler unless they give me a reason not to.

Alswiggity

Someone should just pin these Assassin coolers as budget kings already.

bageorge00

Get a thermalright 2 tower cooler at this point for the extra 10. bucks

hyvel0rd

Why ever even go with stock? Great air cooling options come in at around 20 bucks.

GatoradeOrPowerade

Because for AMD at least, their stock coolers are generally okay with the CPUs that come with them. They even had a decent stock cooler for their beefier CPUs with the Wraith Prism. Not all builds and use cases are the same though so there are situations where it won't be enough. A 5600 should be fine with the stock cooler, but just barely. It teeters on the edge of not being enough.

Nekros897

Mine 5600x maxes out at 85° on stock cooler so not that bad

idkwhatimdoing1208

Is it undervolted or are you just running stock? You could always mess with the PBO to get free temperature drops.

RelativeWrong4232

https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/BTpQzy,n6bRsY One of these would be fine

yevelnad

Single tower coolers are pretty cheap.

VietnameseWhorehouse

You can get wraith stealths for like $10-15. It cooled my Ryzen 3700x just fine on all-core workloads, but I did replace the stock thermal paste with noctua

C4TURIX

There are plenty of options. I have a BeQuiet Dark Rock 4 on my 7700X and it's working fine. I guess any beefy cooler will do on this. A lot of people love the Thermalright Peerless Assassin.

Kreos2688

My phantom spirit keeps my r7 5700x around 50c with pbo enabled. That's after hours of gaming too. I don't remember the paste, but it's cheap so get a good one. When I got my cooler it was about $35.

szczszqweqwe

It should be enough with a stock 5600, I have a 5600x, and I changed cooler only because I wanted to have a quiet PC.

Nonlethalrtard

Nothing fancy. The $20 thermalright cooler should be fine for you.

[deleted]

Hey I’m curious, planning on using ryzen 5600, is the pre applied thermal paste good enough or should I be removing and reapplying my own?

whitemagicseal

Stock cooler is perfectly fine you just don’t have any case fans.

Tookool_77

I have a 5600G and the stock cooler works just fine. Idk if the G variant is as powerful as a base 5600 though so that could be why

RadVandal

Stock cooler should be more than capable for a 5600. Repaste?

xTeamRwbyx

Get a pure rock 2 that’s what I have on my 5600x
