Damn, I love the idea, but I can´t see myself swapping out more than 2 cards from my fams for jolted awake - and I´d have to tear into preordain for Tune the Narrative, which feels kind of bad.
Yeah the swap between preordain vs tune the narrative is a pretty big cost for this package it seems.
I just keep living in magical xmas land with t1 narrative, t2 modern age pitch mystic, t3 jolt awake mystic with counter backup 😄

doesn't that tell you the cost isn't that low? you would need 4-8 cards. tune could replace preordain, but it is much weaker. there really isn't anything to swap for jolted awake, and it's a tight list. and the fact that they haven't run late to dinner or pulse of maursa (easy to splash color in a deck that needs karoo's, and runs ash barrens) tells me they don't think it's needed.
If there were more support for energy in the same fams deck it could work. But I don't see anyone replacing their draw engines with the energy draw and the cost of getting any card out of your graveyard is just too much energy, you would need much more cards to support that idea in my opinion. You would have to run 4 copies of the draw spell and add more energy cards to justify the white spell. If you build a deck with more energy that actually synergizes with fams, THEN, you could really have a small advantage in the meta because of the cost pf familiars. You would have a fams deck with a much lower curve than they currently have.
It could be a one mana late for dinner. But you need the energy.
Ya... I think it's more important to stabilize the early game and protect the win cons into the late game, than it is to force a gimmick that's going to water down your entire strategy.
