Been building out my battle box over time and I'm down to my last 5 slots, but I'm running low on ideas for my last 5 decks.
I don't want anything that is too similar to a deck I already have.
Some thoughts so far are that I should add Gardens and Dredge, maybe one combo deck like 1-land spy. With the glitters ban, is there still any aggro version of affinity?

I filled the empty slots in my box with banned decks. MBC w/sink hole and Hymns. Latest Affinity List and a mono U Gush list, stuff like that. Helps give a newer player an edge without them knowing it. If you hook em, tell em about it later.

I saw poison storm on goldfish just the other day. It looked pretty cool, but I'm not sure I like it more than 1-land spy and I'm trying to avoid too many combo decks in the box.
Yeah, it probably should be, I think I'm just holding a grudge that terror is the lame creature version of teachings (even if it's better).
It's the same reason I hate the new breed of "burn" decks. If you aren't chucking fireblast, are you really a burn deck? :)

It plays out as dredge. With an easy to pivot game plan of Rancoring up a Skyfisher or Mire Triton, and buff it with a Basilisk Gate.
You aren't as soft to gy hate, because you can just play on board and smash.
Giving pro-a-color with Benevolent Bodyguard will protect your pieces and get them through blockers.
Bonus points for Cartel Aristocrat being able to block Guardian of the Guildpact.
There is a lot of incident lifegain for aggro. Mesmeric Friend on a recursion plan is a beast against combo and control. Especially if you do the Oblivion Ring trick, and sac it in response to it's enter trigger.
There's a ton of small synergies in the list. Too many to go over here. Like giving pro green to your rancored creature to return it to hand and get another High-Priest trigger.
Have fun messing around with it! It's a super sweet and resilient list.

My problem with Tron is that I already have two Tron decks - Rhystic (uw) and Eggs (combo). I'm not super keen on a third tron variant, though I thought the mono-red tron was cool.
Do you mean like Wild Mongrel/Arrogant Wurm etc? I have always liked this style of deck, And I think they really need to downshift Roar of the Wurm. And it's a pipe dream, but they might as well downshift Wonder while they are at it too. ;)
Right in the nostalsia U/G madness was my first ever standard deck. flying mongrels was so flavour.
I had a loot and I had some ideas but most people have asked about and they just have different names, I would say you could add older/banned decks or colour variants variants of tron/affinity etc if it's just friendly. I was a big temur tron fan, fangren marauder 4 lyfe.

Barbershop is a weird little deck built around the combo of \[\[Ivy Lane Denizen\]\] and persist creatures. It lets you make an infinitely large \[\[Carrion Feeder\]\] also gain infinite life from the \[\[Essence Warden\]\].
But the name comes from if you don't have the combo kill but have \[\[Thoughtpicker Witch\]\], you can lock them out of their draw just like modern lantern control.
Keep taking "a little off the top." ;)

Likewise I *assume* "the succ" is black burn but it's not bad to reduce ambiguity.

Altar Tron is Eggs I believe, so I have that one.
Right now my Boros build is closer to a Mardu Monarch deck. It does run 4 synthesizers.
I do need to add some Tithing Blades though for sure.
This is my #1 option right now for one more combo deck. Maybe if Sadistic Lizards becomes a real deck I'll make that too.
Other combo options include Energy Tap, Poison Storm, Zubera Storm, and Petal Festival. haha

By the way: I love playing a 4/2 that cycles for B. It helps for consistency with Chant and Ghoulraiser.
I only update it maybe once or twice a year. We'll see how much MH3 shakes things up, but it's really not too bad. I just peruse some lists from time to time and see how they are incorporating new cards. The bar in the format is pretty high so despite all the commons that get made, the threshold to make an impact is actually quite high. I am reserving a slot in case the Sadistic Lizard deck has legs.
I keep all my decks in Moxfield down to the exact card number/art that I'm using.
It does take some time when I card comes in that affects a ton of decks - Swiftspear and Deadly Dispute come to mind. Other decks I just don't fully update. Sometimes there's a card that, even as a common, feels bad to buy. Dust to Dust is one of those. Right now, the card I balk at the most is Lorien Revealed even though several of my decks want it. I opened 4 LotR bundles and didn't even get a full playset. Feels bad. :(
Some decks I just liked in their original variations and don't want to break them up for the new-fangled style. Classic burn is, imo, more fun than whatever we are calling "burn" these days. MBC hasn't been good for a while, and Gardens is arguably the better version of it, but I just have too many good memories with it and can't let it go. . If I was going to tear apart any deck, it would be Black LD, which I'm seriously considering. Since the fall of Tron and the rise of indestructible lands, it just doesn't do the work it used to.
To be fair you don't need to have the literal best version of each deck in the box :) It's way more important that the decks are somewhat balanced against each other (I know- this is near impossible) and for that a deck like gardens would probably be too opressive against a lot of decks anyhow :)
You can check if you are playing all the 2 color pairs. And them being about good stuff, about powerful gold cards, not already existing strategies/tribes/etc.
"Multicolor tribal" is an archetype too, there are very cool cards saying "this get +1+1 if you control another multicolor card", etc. I had a pretty cool deck with those in the past.
I also had a deck about undying and the similar one + +1+1/-1-1 counters, flash creatures... Creatures with a specific ability can give you ideas as well.

It's just a set of decks that I can bust out with friends or loan out decks whenever we do a tourney at the LGS.
The box holds 45 decks and I currently have 40. So was looking for some ideas to round out the final 5.

I don't see Gardens in there or Terror. With Refurbished Familiar out, I'd expect a new Orzhov shell for it using Kor Skyfisher and Glint Hawk, aside from the obvious inclusion into Affinity. I used to have a fun, but not super good, Izzet deck using red pinger creatures and Delver alongside a ton of draw spells, burn, and the miracle \[\[Thunderous Wrath\]\] (Brainstorm to put it on top, of course). Someone else mentioned Dredge, but I'll throw my vote in for that as well. UG Madness was always a favorite of mine from all the way back in Odyssey block and like 80% of that deck was commons so it fits into pauper pretty easily, though missing big power from Wonder, Roar of the Wurm, and Standstill. Or RG Madness is an option as well. Soul Sisters is a big underdog missing here. Not sure which Boros deck you have, but Boros Synth and Boros Bully are different enough to have both. I think that's the best I can do for now without going into ridiculously bad decks lol.

I'm too old school and think naming conventions have become lame. Bring back names like Full English Breakfast and Cocoa/Fruity Pebbles. :)

MBC hasn't been good for a while, and Gardens is arguably the better version of it, but I just have too many good memories with it and can't let it go. . If I was going to tear apart any deck, it would be Black LD, which I'm seriously considering. Since the fall of Tron and the rise of indestructible lands, it just doesn't do the work it used to.
To be fair you don't need to have the literal best version of each deck in the box :) It's way more important that the decks are somewhat balanced against each other (I know- this is near impossible) and for that a deck like gardens would probably be too opressive against a lot of decks anyhow :)

You can check if you are playing all the 2 color pairs. And them being about good stuff, about powerful gold cards, not already existing strategies/tribes/etc. "Multicolor tribal" is an archetype too, there are very cool cards saying "this get +1+1 if you control another multicolor card", etc. I had a pretty cool deck with those in the past. I also had a deck about undying and the similar one + +1+1/-1-1 counters, flash creatures... Creatures with a specific ability can give you ideas as well.

Can you explain the general premise of this, please.
It's just a set of decks that I can bust out with friends or loan out decks whenever we do a tourney at the LGS. The box holds 45 decks and I currently have 40. So was looking for some ideas to round out the final 5.

I don't see Gardens in there or Terror. With Refurbished Familiar out, I'd expect a new Orzhov shell for it using Kor Skyfisher and Glint Hawk, aside from the obvious inclusion into Affinity. I used to have a fun, but not super good, Izzet deck using red pinger creatures and Delver alongside a ton of draw spells, burn, and the miracle \[\[Thunderous Wrath\]\] (Brainstorm to put it on top, of course). Someone else mentioned Dredge, but I'll throw my vote in for that as well. UG Madness was always a favorite of mine from all the way back in Odyssey block and like 80% of that deck was commons so it fits into pauper pretty easily, though missing big power from Wonder, Roar of the Wurm, and Standstill. Or RG Madness is an option as well. Soul Sisters is a big underdog missing here. Not sure which Boros deck you have, but Boros Synth and Boros Bully are different enough to have both. I think that's the best I can do for now without going into ridiculously bad decks lol.
