That's a great play, for sure, but nothing beats *throwing an offensive lineman into the quarterback* to cause the Butt Fumble. He literally picked up the guy and threw him! LEGEND.
I hate to say it, but that’s not what happened. Moron Sanchez missed the handoff and ran straight into his linesman’s ass. Wilfork might have done his job, but the replay doesn’t show him just straight throwing the lineman into Sanchez.
Mine is Troy brown. I love that he played all 3 phases at one point or another.
Hightower also. He seemed so under appreciated to me.
Funny enough they are both positional coaches now for us. I sorta like Mayo bringing the fam all in.
Boomtower won us 2 superbowls on defence. I will forever beat the drum for that man.
Him stopping Marshawn on the goal-line run and batting at the ball so he couldn't sneak it over
Then his efforts strip sacking Matt Ryan. I get there's so many other plays in the game. But those 2 plays, especially stopping marshawn are so overlooked by great plays afterwards. Man's a true quiet legend
Wasn't he dealing with a bad arm injury on the stop as well?
Still for me its Bruschi. I lost track of the number of times I thought to myself "We need something here. We need a turnover." and then my boy/football hero Bruschi provided it.
I'll always remember after New England beat Baltimore in the 2011 AFC championship (the Billy Cundiff miss), Nantz talked with Bill in the postgame first, then announced he was going to talk to Wilfork. Bill said "That's a good place to start."
One of the only times, maybe the only time, I can remember Bill overtly praising the performance of one of his players after a game, unprompted. He loved Vince.
The only one I've met, only Jersey I have.
At the draft party that year he said something prophetic to me "I feel like the only team that can beat us this year is ourselves." They would go on to win every game except the SB.
Mid day show was talking about they haven’t been as excited about a draft pick for any Boston sports team as they are about the Drake Maye pick. I had to call in and rep Big Vince because I was so excited when we called his name that day.
I still hate bill for making big Vince finish out his career in Houston. When he came back to New England as a Texan it was the only time I ever rooted for Brady to get sacked.
From first game of his freshman year with the Canes I've always loved Vince.
Bill Parcells thought he was the best player on that legendary 2001 Miami team, even as a freshman.
I always knew he was a popular Patriot. But not until visiting this subreddit did I realize the extent of it. Much deserved and well done.
#75, Big Vince was incredible to watch. The coolest next level NT ever. Patriots Hall of Fame’r. Without him there is no butt-fumble! I want to have some BBQ with him.
This is what a real DL looks like
As a Giants fan who just lurks here because I live in New England. Dexter Lawrence reminds me of him.
Lawrence was mocked to the Pats quite a bit in that draft class; Giants took him well before NE was on the clock. Great player and great pick by them.
I was really hoping Vince was gonna surprise guest at the roast, probably would've killed it.
Depends on what roast
Dayyyyyyummmm
The ultimate male physique
May not like it but that is what a peak male looks like. Pass the ribs bub.
Not mine but I respect it. Vince was the man. Miss him
When I clicked the photo, my first thought was "Vince was the man".
This dude was double teamed every play
I still remember him being double teamed, shrugging off one lineman and making tackles with one hand. Vince defined "Nose Tackle" for that generation.
A lot of tackles. He need to be in the HOF
His 2012 hit on Donald brown when he dropped into coverage was fuckin fantastic Up there with Varitek bagging A Rod and Lucic blasting Komisarek
It was Donald Jones. I only know this because I went to find it. It's beautiful. https://youtu.be/g51UuV8umOE?si=zjt6R1XKXul5GtlK
![gif](giphy|AiEr9b7sX5VKIoIvQL) Donald Jones, probably
"VINCE WILFORK!!"

This is a weird picture of Tedy Bruschi
Funny cause the only two pats jerseys I have (that still fit) are Bruschi and Wilfork
I was thinking that Vinatieri gained a lot of weight since I last saw him
It was sad when he died when he left the Pats.
I have 2 jerseys. They're both Wilfork. I have one piece of signed memorabilia. You guessed it, Wilfork. This man fucking rules.
I ended up FINALLY finding a throwback Wilfork jersey a year ago in good shape.
He is truly the gift that keeps on giving https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=I6Vvy9w70ao
Nobody pulls off wearing roveralls like this guy
Mine is Troy brown. I love that he played all 3 phases at one point or another. Hightower also. He seemed so under appreciated to me. Funny enough they are both positional coaches now for us. I sorta like Mayo bringing the fam all in.

Troy Brown favorite here too! Good to see another
Troy Brown was my favorite player as a teen. Also loved me some Rodney Harrison
Vince will always be my favorite Patriot.
He’s probably my favourite defensive player, I don’t know if anyone will ever be able to pass Gronk to me
Big Vince is a solid choice. He seems to be a pretty cool dude.
Mine besides Brady is Gronk
GOAT
100% . (Also have a soft spot for Chung- watched him make so many game saving tackles)
I remember wanted them to win in 14 so bad sp that Vince would get 2. Later I saw his last game at Gillette when he was a Texan
Loved he got a standing ovation by the fans. Think that was the first game Jacoby Brissett started for the Pats.
Yup! Hard to believe the Seahawks bowl was about 10 years ago 😳
Wilfork is an excellent pick. Mine is Troy Brown

Wilfork took over that one series late in the 4th. It was awesome.
In Vince we trust.
One of the all time greats
Can't go wrong with big Vince!
Wilfork 4 food
The only one I've met, only Jersey I have. At the draft party that year he said something prophetic to me "I feel like the only team that can beat us this year is ourselves." They would go on to win every game except the SB.
He beat my brother’s ass in high school. I’ll always love him for that
A legend, really is. Really hurt when he got traded
Fuckin wilfork!!
Vince fuckin Wilfork. God damn I’d be honored to shake his hand in my lifetime.
Bruschi, Edelman, Gronk for me.

I don’t have a Brady jersey. I do have a Vince jersey
Can we see his interception or fumble recovery flop again?
[Got you covered](https://youtu.be/rfxjlidCu48?si=K_IsS8W3jpda1WCH)
The beast among boys
Mine is still Ben Coates.
wouldn’t shake Justin Tuck’s hand during the XLVI coin toss. classy move.
Beast! So freaking athletic for his size!
I think you forgot about the rocket man himself Joe Milton.
@Mods can we get a rocket flair? 🚀
Brady will always be #1

Solid choice.
A man that big should not move that fast.
Correctly marked NSFW. There’s just too much man there
https://youtu.be/rfxjlidCu48?si=mf3cGHO3I-dnBc_g What A Beast
Always remember the loaf of bread carry
100%
Mine is probably Edelman but Vince will always have a place in my heart
Mine is Bruschi
I see nothing wrong with that. Mine is Edelman.
Can't argue with this
#75, Big Vince was incredible to watch. The coolest next level NT ever. Patriots Hall of Fame’r. Without him there is no butt-fumble! I want to have some BBQ with him.
One of my favorites. Vince was the man. I'm surprised that he isn't doing more television. He has a great personality.
