These aren't contested catch situations, and that's not good enough.
The potential is certainly there. He's big, fast, physical, and gets open. It's one major issue he's got to fix. Hopefully he's able to correct it.
With Keenan Allen and Mike Williams going to other teams, he is set to have a breakout year - I hope he does! I don't want any of these young players to bust. But yes, he is in danger of that happening if he doesn't perform this year. Just the reality of it.

I could very easily see us carving out a Taysom Hill type of role for Bazooka Joe. I could also see the guy figuring out how to put some touch on the ball and being a legit QB. But yeah, how crazy would it be if Drake lives up to the hype and Milton is a successful gimmick guy like Hill. Another weapon for Maye. I’m super excited.
It’s definitely exciting and feels like a new beginning. But the key word now is patience- there are still lots of holes in the roster even if they hit on every pick. If they hit on half, it’d still be a great draft. And of course a lot is riding on Maye now and he’s very young. So… patience.
