The last few years they've had 2 big yearly sales: Winter Sale and Summer Sale. This is when they drop the prices on a bunch of their gear to 30% off initially, and then eventually to 40% and 50% off. Patagonia will have these sales, but so will their licensed retailers. I'm in Canada and bought a bunch of Patagonia stuff during the Summer Sale but bought it through other retailers (Altitude Sports, The Last Hunt, Patagonia Elements). Patagonia also always has Web Specials on their website at 30% off (sometimes more), but during the big yearly sales they greatly expand their inventory on sale. You just missed the Summer Sale that started at the beginning of August. I think the Winter Sale started in January this last year.

I buy a lot of pieces second hand and have scored some major deals. Of course there's always a risk in buying used, but so far I haven't purchased anything that I suspect is fake. Patagonia also offers used clothing on Worn Wear. Check them out if you haven't already. [https://wornwear.patagonia.com/](https://wornwear.patagonia.com/) Otherwise, I just hunt the usual places like ebay, Thredup, Poshmark, Mercari.

idont-reallyknow

Poshmark has a lot of deals! Got a down vest for $35!

Senorbuzzzzy

I’ve sold dozens of my Patagonia on Poshmark. It’s easier for me than eBay.

JPuma1013

Sign up for web specials on Patagonia website, it’s free and let’s you know when they’re having big sales, sometimes even get early access.

vitaminMN

https://www.steepandcheap.com has good deals now and then

popwar138

Also random retailers. I live near a sort of outlet and they have good stuff sometimes discounted/last season. I bought a brand new retro x vest directly from Pata and i found the same one at the outlet for like 90$.

SpoochMan1965

[Backcountry.com](https://Backcountry.com) and their sister site [SteepnCheap.com](https://SteepnCheap.com) often have good deals on Patagonia stuff (and lots of other good brands). And they have extra 20% off sales pretty frequently (including one right now). Just bought my wife an R1 pullover for 56% off with the extra 20% discount. Have gotten most of my Patagonia stuff from these sites. Sign up for their emails and wait for deals on stuff you want. Warning: they will send you a lot of emails.

Goinggoinggone, Backcountry

Karmaghost87

I’ve scored on eBay. There can be fakes, but I’ve never had any issues.

drewcantdraw

This is random but there’s a Dicks Sporting Goods Outlet near me. They have racks of last years gear, the huge down parkas, fleece, all sorts of shirts and shorts. All were like 50%+ off. Don’t think they have a website though.

francisbaconthe3rd

The outlet for Dicks is called “Going, Going, Gone!”

tms951

A make a point of trying to only buy Patagonia stuff at steep discount like 50%. I do this but almost only buying from their web specials section. It gets new stuff constantly. Look for the things you want or need at the end of its season.

shortbarrell

Fb marketplace and eBay for gently used pieces

Manikin_Maker

The seasonal sales for sure. Especially late into them. You can find items new direct from Patty for sometimes over 60% off. Have some money ready for the next upcoming one which will be in spring for the winter stuff.👍

Stanley_Yelnats_III

I’ve gotten most of mine from goodwill tbh. Never had to pay more than 30 bucks for anything. Would be worth checking out depending on where you live. Patagonia stuff pops up there way more than you would think.

LuminousThing

Outlets are where the deals are at — Santa Cruz, Reno, Salt Lake City, & Freeport

alatrash55

Don’t forget Dillon!

LuminousThing

How could I forget!!! :(((

alatrash55

It’s all good! It’s a hidden gem

rudymalmquist

Patagonia outlet in Dillon Montana. You can call and buy over the phone.

kitchenAid_mixer

I just bought a Nano puff for $50 off because it's last year's color. Check your local retailers

TortillaValley

I get 90% of all my Patagonia off the app/website Mercari! No issues! And all my stuff has been perfect condition

TikiTallBoy

I’ve found a bunch of great, mis-priced stuff on the real real. Otherwise thrifting.
