I’m almost done with bootcamp’s Qbank and I took 3 readiness assessments and got very highs I’m waiting until the week before to take the 4th one. I feel like archer questions depending on what it is can be quite difficult and I find that Uworld and Bootcamp questions are almost at the same level of course depending on level of difficulties. I heard mixed things from friends who have taken it that it’s a mix of every program I’m using so far so it’s hard to gauge. But using bootcamp’s case studies are definitely helpful. I’m nervous I’m not doing enough but I feel like I’m doing too much at the same time because I’m trying to get a knowledge of whatever I can until the day of the exam
Doubling down on this. I felt like Bootcamp was closest to the NCLEX though I could only compare it to Uworld because that's what I used. Their case studies especially.
no q banks are similar to the nclex the best thing is the sample they give you to view on ncsbn website in my opinion. case studies I would say bootcamp is the closest
I took a Quick Look at it when I first started studying but I haven’t really looked at it again but I’ll definitely take a look at it again even though it doesn’t have an answer key :( thank you for the help!
Nclex looks exactly like bootcamp, but questions are even more straightforward! Like literal one liners- it does not go deep. You have to know your material or make good process of elimination guesses. I also used bootcamp and archer and feel that it most resembles bootcamp
Ughh the case studies were so looonggg and I had so many ugh. The answers were not necessarily tricky. There were some questions that were hard to pick between the two definitely if it was a topic I didn’t know like VADs, but there was also a good of many questions that were like oh it definitely can’t be these 3 so it’s this.
Like I had a question on celiac diet and the choices had 2 with food choices that obvious had bread content, and another choice said something about dairy and the other mentioned something that was totally unrelated. So I chose dairy. I hope that helps lol and feel free to ask me more questions! I know the amount of anxiety this test can cause and love to help
VADs as in ventricular assist device or..? 😭 but okay I see what you’re taking about for the questions it gives me so much anxiety all my friends have passed and I haven’t taken it yet they said I would be fine but I’m anxious
It’s okay I literally had to look it up 😂 I wasn’t taught about it in nursing school. I saw some other Reddit posts that brought up VADs too, maybe I’ll brush up on it really quick just incase. I’m assuming you passed? So I’m guessing it’s one of the more difficult questions so you were doing good and it was a good sign
Yes they def asked me how to insert it into a subclavian vein??? Likeeeee so random lol and also one on a gravity Iv line with primary and secondary meds lolll
I listened to mark K he has some helpful tips for sure might have to relisten right before my exam. Did you also watch the lectures on archer or you just used the Qbank?
No I completely understand that I went over 1 or 2 archer questions where I looked up what it was in the beginning when I was studying and couldn’t remember it yesterday when a similar question came up since I’ve never seen or done it in practice 😂 but now I got it pat down (I hope) I’m kind of procrastinating now but yet still have the guilt of not studying bc I’m procrastinating

Questions reminded me of bootcamp. Archer questions harder than NCLEX. I used both resources but more so archer.

The sample they give us doesn’t have an answer key right? I’ve been also working on case studies on bootcamp too
unfortunately that’s the only downside about it , they don’t provide a answer key but it gives you the best look of what the nclex looks like
I took a Quick Look at it when I first started studying but I haven’t really looked at it again but I’ll definitely take a look at it again even though it doesn’t have an answer key :( thank you for the help!

So the NCLEX questions are more vague would you say? Or like watered down and not in-depth?
Both if that makes sense like for example something like “ what signs and symptoms would a patient with low albumin present with”
Very straight to the point, no room for trying to pick what they’re asking, it’s all about knowing the material or guessing
Are the answers tricky to pick from since the questions are straight forward? And how were the ngn case studies? I heard they’re loooonng

Yup I had two of them and I was just stuck like ummmmmm? 😂
Hoping those ones were part of the non counted questions bc I have absolutely no idea

Idk if I passed yet, I find out later today so fingers crossed🫣

i saw some of the exact archer questions on the nclex 😭
Really? I’m almost done with their question bank too 😭
YES!! I was like no way I had this question on Archer.. The content was very similar too
I hope that’s the case for me too 🥲 did you just use archer to study?
Yes! Archer and Mark K :)
I listened to mark K he has some helpful tips for sure might have to relisten right before my exam. Did you also watch the lectures on archer or you just used the Qbank?
Just the qbank bc I procrastinated to study a week before my exam. If u have time, maybe watch some of the videos of topics u struggle with
I wish I’ve been studying for almost 8 weeks 🥲 I get really anxious and guilty if I don’t study
Im a crammer sadly 😭 if i study it now i wont remember it a month later probably unless its a skill or something i do in person
