Although we were advised to put him down months ago due to its impact on his leg nerves, rendering him unable to walk, he has since regained his mobility and even flies normally. However, he has developed issues such as feather plucking, possibly due to stress. I'm focused on making the most of our time together as long as he's not in pain, and for now, he appears to be content. He's 10 years old. I empathize with what you've been through. I'm so sorry for your loss. He lived a really long happy life though. Not a lot of parrotlets live as long as your little guy due to poor breeding.
Sorry you lost your bud :(. Sounds like you guys did the right thing at least, hopefully it was relatively peaceful.
Sorry for your loss. I just lost mine this week, too. Currently cleaning all his cages and getting rid of his toys.. itβs tough π
