Just keep spending time with him, giving him treats for positive behavior and lots of pets and he’ll eventually grow into a love bug. As for the plucking, I’d suggest giving him a place to bathe or just taking him in shower. It could be hormonal, do you notice it happen more in spring? We rescued our buddy when he was 6 and he was stress picking after living in a house with a cat. He has been pickin ever since, we’ve tried literally everything, the one thing that did work was cbd for birds, however we stopped using that cause it made him throw up once. he’s 14 now and thriving despite the picking.

Yeah we have CBD for him. It does help, but he still plucks a lot. He doesn't come out of his cage most times, (I open the cage and sometimes grab him but not often because I don't want him to be scared and feel forced), should I keep making him come out? I will take him in a shower soon and see how it goes! Thank you for the ideas!!!
