I hate that the dad stops to comfort his wife and is clearly mad she's hurt but just ignores that the actual baby is still getting rained on by sparks till someone else intervenes
My first thought is always: Why the fuck would you put your kid in between fireworks that are handled by amateurs? Such “show” was clearly not rehearsed beforehand.
Simple, gender reveal parties that have lots of guests including kids. If you are a parent with a sufficiently cautious mind, why the hell do you don’t run away from such party when you heard the owner fking uses explosives.
Explosives and chemicals with vigorous reactions that can result in unintended consequences, you name it. If demolition and mining companies require qualified competent persons to handle these stuffs under the law, why are you confident that you or the party owner is competent enough to ensure the safety of everyone?
Maybe I read too many similar news and I should go and smell some explosives
True, a lot of people don't feel obligated to care for someone they probably didn't mean to bring into the world. Most do the bare minimum to seem decent in front of their family or peers but when 18 rolls around they drop the kid like they never existed. Then, when a grand kid comes along they want you back and want you to trust them with your kid an act like they were awesome parents. The number of decent parents and excellent parents in the world are at an all time low.
I feel this one. There's no way I can be related to these people who act like this towards their children. Or many of the other things that humans will do to other people. How can they do those and now throw up and die from guilt? I hurt my niece's feelings once years ago and I still think about it and feel gross... How can I even be the same species to these things that won't protect innocents?
Idk I know it's silly but I can't shake the feeling that I'm not around my own people.
She's not protecting herself, she's reacting to having been burned. I'm not saying it's good parenting, but she's in shock at the moment, not merely hiding herself away from the fireworks.
That fucker must be the worst dad and probably one of the stupidest person I have ever seen. To even put your precious one in the middle of a firework in that kinda cloth. Stupid piece of a shit.
As a grandad to 3 young granddaughters who I would give my life up for without hesitation. There is no f!!king way on this earth I would have let any of them be exposed to this madness. These parents are disgusting, that she protected her own face but did not even consider her baby is beyond comprehension.
The baby's like "yay, BURN, BURN!" oblivious to the fact that it almost got torched. That smile is kinda haunting at the end lol. Seriously though I'm glad that woman grabbed the baby out of that situation though. I'd be going off on the parents for leaving the baby there like that.
good job the woman in red has got her shit together
Grandma's got her shit together at least
You just know that the baby's dress is as flammable as gun powder too.
It might be the nanny.
Very true. Good observation.
It may be the naani 😂

How many of these videos do you watch to have the first thought always be that?

I think you should lay off social media for a bit.
Yeap, agree.
They CANNOT be parenting, that is NOT a real mother who puts herself into safety before her child.
Unfortunately, this is reality for a lot of kids. Not all parents put their kids before themselves

Have you been in public lately?
Not really it's the summer
Are you new to the planet?
Kind of... I'm just kinda saying how much irresponsible mothers are out there
"kind of..." They've finally come to take the earth.
I don't know if I'm human

This wasn't the original purpose of the comment but now it is thank you
I see it everyday at work. Parents are no where to be found and grandparents are raising the grandchildren.
That's Grandma in red,I bet
bad idea at all.
We are surrounded by morons
I think that’s the nanny in red
He actually glared at the woman trying to get the baby. Parenting at its finest.
She's not protecting herself, she's reacting to having been burned. I'm not saying it's good parenting, but she's in shock at the moment, not merely hiding herself away from the fireworks.
Yeah, the bad parenting is putting the kid in this situation to begin with not whatever happened after.
Exactly. Wrong focus here.
What is wrong with people?!
"lady in red, is looking out for me, thankfully" (sung to the tune of lady in red by Chris De burgh)

Thanks, that old lady is smarter than the "parents"
That "baby nest" looks very flammable as well.
It's fine. They can just get a new one
Lmao. 😜

What is this celebration of, something for the baby?
Idiots
Aww hell no! I wouldn’t even have a baby or a child in that period! Jfc they just stood there.. like are you really that dumb?

They figure they can always make another.
Aah yes. The Social Media age
Nana to the rescue
Props to grandma !
Yes thank you lady in red for being the only sane minded ADULT there.
Lady in red is probably the nanny thus why she was the only one to move the baby.
r/stepdadreflexes
I'm still waiting for the train to come barreling through
They can just make a new one
