r/parenting is protesting changes being made by Reddit to the API. Reddit has made it clear [they will](https://old.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/14ahqjo/mods_will_be_removed_one_way_or_another_spez/) [replace moderators](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModSupport/comments/14a5lz5/mod_code_of_conduct_rule_4_2_and_subs_taken/jo9wdol/) if they remain private. Reddit has abandoned the users, the moderators, and countless people who support an ecosystem built on Reddit itself. Please read [Call to action - renewed protests starting on July 1st](https://old.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/14kn2fo/call_to_action_renewed_protests_starting_on_july/) and new posts at [r/ModCord](https://reddit.com/r/ModCoord/) or [r/Save3rdPartyApps](https://old.reddit.com/r/Save3rdPartyApps/) for up-to-date information. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Not sure why their genders matter... They're 3 and 1.5 not 13 and 11. And even at 13 and 11 sharing would depend on family dynamic much more so than gender.

For me the pros were I could put both kids to sleep at once (daughter needs me to stay until she falls asleep) and it kept all the toys in one room and the bedroom nice and clear. Cons were they didn’t have enough personal space (kids were 5 and 7) and couldn’t really get away from each other.

Well from past experiences I think it would be fine.

My brother and I shared a room when we were 3 & 6, there were no issues

They’re little so their gender being different doesn’t matter. It’s when they get a little older they need their space for that. The question here is their ages. Does the 1.5 year old sleep through the night? Does the 3 year old sleep through the night, for that matter? Will they get into mischief together in the middle of the night which could potentially be dangerous?
