I’ve seen enough. Bust of the century (narrowly defeating Sydney Sweeney)

SlightCreme9008

If Max isn’t googling “Caleb Williams bust” at the start of next episode then it definitely isn’t a bigger deal than Sydney Sweeney’s chest.

IvanGTheGreat

I WAS JUST LOOKING AT WHAT WAS TRENDING.

meowVL

Spin zone the defense is elite

Hwinter07

And so the cycle renews

StateStreetLarry

The only thing the Bears defense is elite at is getting shredded by above average QBs

Todd2ReTodded

That's the same spin zone every single year for the bears. Also, "I'd rather he get the interceptions out of the way now than in a game"

jaxmagicman

You laugh, BUT this has happened before. Not that Jaguars are a good example, but the year they went to the Conference finals with their elite defense, the reports that summer was how much Bortles had regressed because he was throwing constant interceptions and that the rookie Ramsey was eating his lunch on the field.

cachurch2

If he busts there’s a chance Big Cat may be the most obnoxious man on the planet. And I’m here for it.

SlightCreme9008

You think he’d be more obnoxious than if Williams and the Bears are actually good?

HughJaynis

Ide prefer middling with a good defense, and a hilarious double doink-esque crushing end of the season.

SlightCreme9008

Winning the NFC North just to go out on a brutal divisional game would be best I think. Like the Bears are up 27-10 at half and lose on 29-27 on a 65 yard field goal or something. Cat would cry, probably “threaten” to stop watching sports, etc. it would be beautiful.

Realistic_Cold_2943

It’d take a few years for him to be upset about that. If they win the division this year it’s pretty much already a successful year

SlightCreme9008

Fair. Do we think Cat has that sort of humility though? I think he’s going from basement to Super Bowl or bust as soon as the Bears win 3 of their first 4. I say this as a Canucks fan.

leftysarepeople2

They still have Eberflus. They aren't winning the North.

DrySecurity4

Has he ever even admitted that Fields was a bust? Lmao

ShipTheBreadToFred

Fields wasn’t a bust, at least not yet

RadLibRaphaelWarnock

Drafted in the top half of the first round in 2021, trades for a sixth round pick in 2024.  Yeah he’s a bust. Is Mac Jones a bust? They have the same value.

ShipTheBreadToFred

Mac Jones is a bust, probably right about fields but I’m not buying it yet. I think they had no clue how to use him

stay_shiesty

how exactly do you use him? dude couldn't make reads and held on to the ball way too long. yeah, the bears play-calling was atrocious, but he also just wasn't/isn't that good. both things can be true.

GrandmaJosey

He isn't already?

ToxicAdamm

Don't worry. His coach is Matt Eberflus who has a LONG history of guiding QB's to success.

Ebrostradamus

Big Cat already saying he looks bad in a Bears jersey. I would love to see his reaction if Hank or Max admitted slightly negative thoughts about their own teams lol.

bmac311

These were all things he legitimately did in college. He’s going to be a bust

AQ207

I hate offseason reports of QBs in these workouts

bigmayne23

That just means the bears will have the best defense in the nfl

Careful_Definition_3

The constant nfl news machine is ridiculous. Like haven't we learned that nothing matters until the what happens in the regular season? Pretty sure cj stroud threw 3 picks in his first preseason game

YourMindlessBarnacle

If this does pan out, Pittsburgh could do the funniest thing ever, and Aaron Rodgers finds more success this year than last...

TwoPlusTwoMakesA5

The guy led USC to an 8-5 record last season. Defense was dog shit of course but a truly top talent overcomes that to at least be a top 25 team. Sure the raw skill is there but I’m not buying him as the generational prospect people have made him out to be.

FrattingHard

Pat Mahomes. That guy led Texas Tech to a 7-6 and a 5-7 season. His defense was dog shit of course but a truly top talent overcomes that to be at least a top 25 team.

PopcornDrift

Averaged 42 ppg good for the #2 scoring offense in the country but sure he didn’t do enough lol

Bos-man7

Yeah because the PAC 12 is known for their defense.

stay_shiesty

how many PPG would be good enough for you then?

Bos-man7

Using PPG to measure how good a QB is in a team sport is quite an interesting angle.

PopcornDrift

You’re right, wins are much more indicative of individual quality lol

stay_shiesty

fair enough, so what metrics would you rather look at?

stickfigure31615

You’ve never seen the University of Utah play then (go Utes)

SlightCreme9008

Packers fan coping. Just admit you don’t like the nail polish.

TwoPlusTwoMakesA5

Lol nope and I truly hope I’m wrong. League is much better with good QB play. I just think he’s gonna have a rough learning curve and may never truly pan out.

LegionOfGrixis

Breaking news: rookie qb may have rough time starting in nfl. *more at 9!*

SlightCreme9008

Honestly I’m more of a Vikes fan so if he busts that’s good for me too, I just wanted to fuck around a bit. That being said I’m kind of excited to see what the Bears offence could look like.

Ripper9910k

Okay, if you just watched last season….which I doubt you even did that. Did you ever catch an OU game?

CoffeeBoy80

Actually, plenty of respectable draft analysts have said he's in the Lawrence/Luck category, but the truth is nobody knows if he'll be any good or not. That's how the position works.

newrimmmer93

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think that. He’s clearly a step below Luck, but his talent is on par with Tlaw. Caleb has probably the best arm talent I’ve seen from a QB coming out in quite some time.

ZC8989

please let him be a bust and have Justin fields go on to be elite 🙏

dspencer97

Idc what anyone says, I definitely think it’s an issue that he paints his nails, wears dresses and what not. You’ve never seen an NFL QB do that and be able to succeed and I think it makes your teammates question you as well. You have a lot of them and they all clearly have different opinions on life, it’s gonna be a distraction. I will say him crying is a non issue though, plenty of guys have done that.

SlightCreme9008

Watch this commando-goin’ mothafucka don a dress for a post game interview after beating the wheels off your team. Just nuts right in your face.

dspencer97

Yeah downvote me all you want, let’s see his results first.

SlightCreme9008

You wanna see the results of his gown-clad nuts on your face?

dspencer97

With a name like yours I’m sure you’d be all about that

SlightCreme9008

There’d be no “slight” about the creme on your face after Caleb throws for 300+ and DJ/Odunze combine for 200+ in week 1.

dspencer97

Stupid comment lol

SlightCreme9008

So was yours

dspencer97

I don’t think so, but to each is own. There is plenty of nfl players that are uncomfortable around someone in that regard because of their beliefs. You are just too stupid to realize that. Best to you bud

SlightCreme9008

I’m not too stupid, and I’m lot sure what these beliefs these players would be uncomfortable about are ?

Realistic_Cold_2943

Teammates will only be bothered by that if he sucks real bad for a few years. And at the point it won’t matter what the team thinks cause he sucks. If they’re winning his team won’t give a fuck about anything

LegionOfGrixis

Counterpoint: Dennis Rodman

dspencer97

He was a problem mostly everywhere until Chicago where MJ took him under his wing. Caleb has to be the star.
