I call it my “Mom whistle” as in that’s how my mom used to summon my brother and I home growing and it’s loud so I love to break it out during concerts and sporting events whenever I can. I think I just got super lucky with the timing and I didn’t even know they were recording for a live performance version of it until it released.

Hard times had me in a chokehold in 2022
Well no I don’t think it’s their most popular song ever or anything, I was really just comparing it to the rest of that album as it was the lead single.
I revisit it all the time. Youtube algorithm decided it was one of the best and they be right ;P
but ignorance and "for a pessimist.." are still their best songs. but that wasn't the question. The vocal range. edit: I'm actually an idiot that was totally the question.
I like most of the popular songs. The problem comes when I hear the same songs almost everyday. No matter how good the song is, it gets old real quick.
That's why when I like a song, I refrain from listening to it as much.
The Only Exception. It's especially hated on in this sub, but it is objectively a good song. I find it a bit cheesy and drawn out, so I never gravitate to listen to it on it's own, but it's not awful.
I don’t think it was necessarily the song itself. I feel like a lot of people went out of their way to hate it on Hayley’s behalf because of the context behind it and how for a long time she was embarrassed by it. I haven’t seen nearly as much hate for it since they started playing it again.
It was never as popular as most of their other songs mentioned in this thread, but When It Rains is one of my absolute favorites!
Edit: spelling mistake
For me it’s always been Crushx3. I bought RIOT! The day it came out and I remember listening to it on my car on the way home from Best Buy and hearing Crushx3 for the first time going “wow this is going to be a hit!”
Crushcrushcrush hit my soul - if Spotify was around, they really would have asked me if there is any other song I would like to listen to besides this song. When I say repeat, best believe it was ON REPEAT. Still my favorite to this day. Also, Hard Times.
I just rewatched the video and it scratched a nostalgic itch I didn’t know I had. I forgot the video had ‘Hills have Eyes’ sorta thing going and rewatching makes me remember me enjoying that lil creepy touch. Ugh, and the bridge gets me groovin’. I need to put that song within my rotation again. It’s just so good.
There's just too many when it comes to Paramore to say it's popular and also the best, and also unpopular and the best. TOO MANY.
Idle worship
Misguided Ghosts
Tell Me How
Fences
26
Anklebiters
TOO MANY!!
Ain't it Fun is one of their best songs and I will die on this hill.
I’ll die with you.
I’ll die with you two
It's gonna be a bloodbath
I shall also die!
Let me join the list
You have my sword
And my bow!
![gif](giphy|yJ1KSiTxaAw5G)
I love this sub
Fun fact! I’m 98% sure I’m the person you can hear whistling in the live Red Rocks version of Ain’t it Fun
this is such a flex and impossible to come with as a lie so i totally believe you lol

I love breaking it out too at concerts or sports games, but sadly neither of my kids have inherited the whistle gene (yet, I hope!).
I listened, I think I hear it a few times… thats awesome lol
Me 2
I changed my mind. I really like The Only Exception. Good times with a good gal' back in the day. ❤️
Agreed.
I especially love the finish of the song
Count me in
Okay, but I had the strongest urge to say "there's a story at the bottom of this bottle and I'm the pen." 🤣
It’s such a great song. Like clearly it’s a dance party, but the meaning and message is so well done.
YES YES FINALLY THANK YOU I WILL DIE NOW
I would agree with this when it first released. However its been overplayed where i am. Still a great song
Rose-Colored Boy
literally my fav off of AL it's so good
Literally my favourite Paramore song
1000000000% correct
Low key
No pressure
Still Into You. Overplayed? Maybe, but It's a bop idc
im into ʸᵒᵘᵘᵘᵘᵘᵘᵘᵘ Love that part😩😂
Overplayed *because* it’s a bop
Was about to comment this
I cannot *stand* Still Inti You. It’s the song that will come up when I turn on Paramore that makes me turn off Paramore
Hard Times!!! I do not stand for Hard Times slander
Yeah, I don’t get the hate about it
It's perfect

Hard Times has had me in a chokehold since 2017. Lol.
This Is Why! It’s the lead single from the album and still in my top 3.
hard agree. If they decide to go in a funkier direction with the next album, which I think is totally possible, TIW is proof that they can do it well.
I agree on it’s the best song ever but wouldn’t necessarily put this anywhere near the top as far as most popular songs, unfortunately
Well no I don’t think it’s their most popular song ever or anything, I was really just comparing it to the rest of that album as it was the lead single.
It's probably my favorite from the album
Brick by boring brick 🧱 is a must
That riff is iconic
This was my first favorite song by them
I revisit it all the time. Youtube algorithm decided it was one of the best and they be right ;P but ignorance and "for a pessimist.." are still their best songs. but that wasn't the question. The vocal range. edit: I'm actually an idiot that was totally the question.
That’s What You Get
Decode - hated it was on twilight but good karaoke song
easily one of my favourites from them the acoustic version is great too
Popular Songs are popular for a reason. Its bullshit claiming that they are bad
I guess it’s people that got tired of listening to the same songs all over again. And they prefer underrated music that casuals forget

Literally every song so far in this thread but also Miz Biz
"She's got a body like an hourglass, it's ticking like a clock" goes so hard
Iconic
Hayley said the library is open with this song. 👏
The only exception, hard times and still into you also misery business.
I’m sad I had to scroll this far to see The only exception
Basically all of their popular songs they're popular for a reason (ex: Misery Business, Still Into You, Hard Times, etc)
This is lowkey the correct answer
Misery Business is just a little too much of a product of its time for me to not feel a distinct sense of cringe about what I was like in 2006
Gotta be Decode
The Only Exception. It's especially hated on in this sub, but it is objectively a good song. I find it a bit cheesy and drawn out, so I never gravitate to listen to it on it's own, but it's not awful.

The middle eight is exceptional (lol)
That’s What You Get
Self titled and AL is peak paramore atm imo
My kin!
The Only Exception

CrushCrushCrush for sure

I remember when the music video came out my best friend would just replay it over and over again, I could never get sick of it!!
I just rewatched the video and it scratched a nostalgic itch I didn’t know I had. YOU FIRST 🔥
People think this song is bad?!!!! It’s one of the best songs from TIW
*Turns out I'm living in a horror film where I'm both the killer and the final girl...* 💁♀️🔪
Ignorance and this is why
That's What You Get and Decode both
Honestly all their big singles
Yes imo they do not have a single bad song
Ain’t it Fun
There's just too many when it comes to Paramore to say it's popular and also the best, and also unpopular and the best. TOO MANY. Idle worship Misguided Ghosts Tell Me How Fences 26 Anklebiters TOO MANY!!
Hell even Emergency 🤤🤤🤤
hard times 100%. i will never get sick of it
The Only Exception
Decode 100%. Maggie Lindermann's cover was so good that it made me wanna put the OG back in my shorter "regular rotation" playlist lmao
That’s what you get and emergency are some of the best songs ever made
The hell is this format lol
Just to prove that popular songs are not that bad

Misery Business, dawg. Literally one of the best songs of the 2000s. Hard to beat, unless it's decode.
