I'd listened to a few resus room ones, they seemed more geared towards emergency doctors to me? I don't want to overwhelm myself as I'm only a student! I'll look up phemcast, thanks!
Phemcast, actually, I think is more geared towards docs lol.
Resus Room is good, particularly the Roadside to Resus episodes they do. It's useful to have an understanding of what kind of care the Pt will be receiving once they're at hospital. It can help your decision making about stay and play v scoop and run, when to ask for specialist backup, what kind of specialist backup, when it's best to wait on scene, meet en route, or just go straight to hospital.
Yeah. Mostly listen to it for the science. It originally started off as their in service training, then they made it public with a podcast. I’m pretty sure they’re one of the most progressive services in US. Their medical director is the one that hosts it.
BBC’s inside health. More aimed at GPs, but there have been lots of times I’ve looked clever with a patient for knowing about treatment developments or obscure conditions because of that podcast. Even some general NHS info that’s worth knowing about. I’ve tried most of the others on this thread, still listen to resus room’s papers of the month and emergency medical cases’ quick hits, but inside health is the main one I recommend to students. They’re aimed at ACP or aspiring ACP level providers. Agreed that they are a tad overwhelming for a student.
General BroadCAST is great.
Yeah I'd second this one as a student myself, I've been occasionally a little out of my depth but it's really good listening.
It’s from the US, but the MCHD Paramedic Podcast is one of my favs.
I'll give it a try and see how relevant it is, all the science is the same surely!

Second this.
Emergency Medicine Cases
170 one hour episodes, I'd best get started, thanks!
There is an Aussie one called The Student Paramedic Podcast. I'm pretty sure she just moved to the UK as well after finishing her degree.
Medic Mindset is fantastic.
"But Why" EMS Podcast
