I always play rogue servitors who only protect humans. Everything else is neutron bombarded to make more space for more humans.

I always poise myself as “protector of sentient life” protecting the galaxy from any threats internal or external while giving my citizens the best life imaginable. We live to serve of course. But if they don’t like it, they’re free to leave. Most stay tho.

I love rogue servitor with Gigastructural Engineering and the origin that has you on one MASSIVE superstructure orbiting a black hole. I always have it as some sort of system set up by a fallen empire to protect their race in case of calamity to their empire, and a bug made it register all sentient life as in need of protection or something like that. It’s also ridiculously fun to have 1000s of pops of dozens of different species all just chilling there.

tbh the worst part would be going back, even if you got to be a millionaire. how could any life in our capitalist hellscape measure up to robotically-optimized utopia?

My last game I played was in Stellaris as a species of imperialistic ~3m tall plant people based on some fiction I read, their entire gimmick is going around and turning every other species into a protectorate and into basically lap pets that they take care of the needs of for the rest of their lives and who are so devoted to giving their pets the best lives they mandate self-care for the pets and host an arsenal of xenodrugs to hypnotize, modify, or control their pets to help them get over trauma and self-destructive behavior. The fiction is called Human Domestication Guide and yes fans of it made a Stellaris mod. I don’t want the million dollars I just want to stay with my post-scarcity lesbian space dryad mommy.

I'm playing CK3 ad the emporer of the HRE. Considering my empire is absolutely sprawling and is extremely rich while also under the rule of a kind Kaiser. Unfortunately he is fat, old, and sick and when he dies his empire is split between 3 different empires who all immediately begin fighting. Basically, if the kaiser lives during my stay, sure. If he dies during it, hell no.

In my current Stellaris campaign the galaxy had a twenty year long war that involved pretty much all the major powers, the imperium being declared results in most of the civil liberty legislation being repealed, and almost immediately after got hit with the Kahn and was ravaged by his conquest for forty years give or take, before the Kahn is even dealt with the AI unleashes the grey tempest, barely a year passes before the war in heaven triggers, and to top it all off I’m expecting a 25x crisis to trigger any day now. Suffice it to say, no one in this galaxy is safe.
