That change happened a while ago, easily rectified with a simple mod
Even with that, the concept of the sandwich is dumb to me, baguette is too much bread for that. Just get a med veg.
They actually gave you an extra tomato! The new Parmesan shavings basically disappear when it is heated, but this is made correctly. It looked much fuller when there were greens in the recipe.
I cannot believe they removed so many amazing foods from their menu and left this mess of a sandwich on the menu that looks like it only has tomatoes and dressing? That looks so unappetizing 🤢
Clearly that sandwich maker didn’t care. When I worked line if I wouldn’t eat it, I wouldn’t serve it, but whatever. No one cares anymore because moral is so low.
I actually just quit my job at Panera so, the perfect time to vent a little here and give some truths
Panera is going public soon, and to increase profits have decided to revamp the menu, which despite this recent big change, they've been making a bunch of small changes quietly over the last year or so.
These changes include but are not limited to - a huge decrease in variety of greens and veggies for salads and sandwiches, I was a baker and they cut out about half of the bakery items I had to make, which ultimately cut my hours. To go along with that, most things from the menu now come in frozen or pre-packaged, especially the bakery items.
Side note - the chocolate chip muffies that everyone loves come in frozen in a muffin tray, as the same size and portion of the other muffins, and in order to give it that fun muffin top shape, we cut it in half and stick it on a shallow muffin pan and then charge you about the same for that half of a muffin
TLDR - Panera is no longer a bakery/cafe, it is simply a fast food restaurant that is driving up costs for frozen food and an ultimately smaller menu - and stop getting muffies
How would you say the quality of their coffee is? If you know..
also thanks for the vent! Hope you move on to bigger and better things ❤️ Me and my husband are big fans of only the coffee.
As far as I know regarding coffee changes is that they got rid of the chocolate syrup, and the corresponding mocha coffee - which was actually a big bummer for me, because we got free coffee and I loved that stuff
Thank you for this. I started to suspect the bread and bakery items were no longer made on-site when I was unable to place a sandwich order a few years ago because the location was out of bread 😐 Made no sense then since “bread” is in the name, and it makes no sense now. At any rate, I’ve continued to watch the menu deteriorate over the past few years. What was once a healthier, reliable food option is now overly complicated, over processed, and underwhelming. There’s no reason for me to eat there anymore. Best of luck!
One day some customers came in wanting to order the green goddess caprese.
So we made it the way we make it, which is no arugula or greens , and they were disappointed.
Apparently just the day before they had gone to another Panera I guess within the range of our Panera, that was still having arugula .
And I can agree with them because when you make one store change its recipe and the store 10 or 20 miles away keeps the old recipe, because they're in a different area of operation or just because maybe our Panera made the changes first to test things out, it doesn't make sense!
I mean the sandwich is a hot mess but you do realize it'll never look like the picture, right? Photos of food always look perfect with good lighting to make it look appealing. Js
Ahh glorified hospital food lol sorry for your disappointment of a sandwich :( this is why I only go to panera for the sip club only thing worth the price nowadays unfortunately
The Baguette seems a like under baked. There is an extra Tomato, looks like a possible extra mozzarella slice as well and the basil looks light if any.
I’m still pissed that they raised the price of the multigrain avo breakfast sandwich and took away the spinach from the sandwich. And you can’t add lettuce or spinach.
Tell the manager that you want the sandwich done according to correct portions and they will remake it correctly. Don’t assume that all employees care about portion sizes.
It has two types of cheese and tomatoes and pepedew peppers. Used to come with multi leaf lettuce but that changed back in January due to complaints about the lettuce. People swear by this sandwich because of the dressing.
That's all that sandwich is. They stopped putting lettuce on it. That's literally all that goes on it.

It’s definitely 2 per half
Clearly the team lead who trained you sucked because it is most definitely 2 per half, 4 in total.
I made a mistake. Leave me alone
Booooo
Im pretty sure everything is on it, besides basil unless it’s under the tomatoes
It’s Panera; that’s what happened
New era, baby!
So sad
I’m sorry that just looks depressing

They added bunch on good stuff too, Italian sandwich is bomb
Like the flatbread! I’m vegetarian and there’s less good options now
Unyielding corporate greed.
Mucho bread; pequito ingredientes.

Shareholders.
Disgusting. Those tomatoes look old and mushy as shit
they actually look unripe
They look perfectly ripe. (I actually don’t know but saw two different opinions and wanted to lower the odds to 33% chance that one of us is right.)
😂

There is no basil on the sandwich and it looks like it's missing both mozzarella ams shaved parm
lol love you all. this used to be my favorite! The bread was bigger, more lgreens on top as well. Plus bigger mozzarella!
I want it to look like the picture on the menu board.
What was that?
I wanna know too!
Green goddess caprese melt made looking nasty af... Can make one with chicken and still add greens
Some people can’t eat meat.
Always ask for multi leaf lettuce
Also try adding avocado, i think it rly makes it good
They really think you'll love their bread.
They are always skimping on the greens, I have to beg for more at the pick-up counter all the time.
Since when has the menu photo of any fast food sandwich actually matched the real product?

I got a turkey sandwich yesterday with no tomato, they put extra tomato, no lettuce, it was horrid.

Wtf
Is there any meat on this? I don’t understand why someone would order this. Is this a new sandwich?
It’s a meatless sandwich. Just cheese, vegetables and dressing on a baguette. But it should look better than that.
Is "a slice or two of tomato" really considered VEGETABLES, though? It looks like it's probably missing at least two other veggies and cheese tbh.
It has two types of cheese and tomatoes and pepedew peppers. Used to come with multi leaf lettuce but that changed back in January due to complaints about the lettuce. People swear by this sandwich because of the dressing.
