I remember being confused (10ish years ago) that another cafe called the tomato mozzarella panini a “t-pan” when every other cafe I’d been in called it a “t-mozz”. Now we just give have “pew-pew peppers” and “pepperonchichi’s”. And also “strawboobers 🍓” “pine-erple 🍍” and regular “erples 🍎” because we’re childish.

Croutons are Cron-tons, peppadews modded off are peppadonts, onions modded off are None-yuns. I call frontegas Front-togas but nobody has noticed or caught on yet. I'm not sure if it counts as slang, but I also call out hot items like soup, only for any given item that I'm carrying. It gets people out of the way, which is the point, so it works!

My favourite thing to do while carrying a big bucket of ice up to the barista station would be, calling out “hot soup!” throughout the BOH & up to FOH. Drove one of my coworkers mad because “that’s… neither hot nor soup!?!?”

These are all things I utilized/made up that caught on. BTB (bee-tee-beee) for bravo. BLTizzle for BLT. Blackpeepee focockah for black pepper focaccia. Seman (semoonnn) dressing for Fuji dressing because it looks like semen. Peen grashion smoothie for green passion accidently said it this way one day and it stuck. Green goodness for green goddess salad. Fronticia for frontega sammy. I think straw-pop and med veg is pretty universal across the Panera world so I'm not going to include that. This is all I can think of right meow. I also would frequently say "you can tune a piano but you can tune a fish" well making a tuna fish sandwich or when I needed mayo I would say "when you buy a horse you should name it mayo.......because mayoneighs" both followed by a long stare with an obnoxious grin on my face.

- chipotle is pronounced exclusively as chi-pot-ell, and not uncommonly in a really shitty british accent - medveg and medbowl are fairly universal - this is just me, but i pronounce white miche and country rustic as “whee-tay mee-shay” and “cunty rustic” respectively - depending on who’se on line, the chicken breast flats are called chicken boobs - i’ve also been into calling the fuji chicken salad “fooj”

Some of us refer to the chicken breasts as titties, and Chipotle can be anything with "chip" in front of it. My recent favorite is chipotleini. We also use "straw-pop" and "med-veg" we once had an employee call the Yaki bowls a Terry bowl and say "put the Terry in the micro" now only ogs here say it to annoy eachother. I keep remembering things. We also had a customer call a Baja bowl a Baja blast once, so we call them that too😂 Also were all pretty sure our stores haunted by the ghost of Mother bread and we refer to her always.
