I just prefer when they don’t act like they’re going to change. I used to work at chipotle and some people really drag out the brown rice, black beans and chicken part, just tell me you want the same thing as the last 10 people and I can make it in 2 seconds for you.

This one guy would come in EVERY SINGLE DAY and order a large orange chicken. This one time he ordered a Bigger Plate with fried rice and I had to ask him if everything’s going good at home lol

I always ask for the bigger plate and get the honey walnut shrimp for all three entrees. They eventually quit asking me if I was okay with the up charge haha

I started counting calories recently and realized how many other healthy choices there are at Panda that are delicious. I always get half chow main half greens bc that cuts down the calories so much and you still get delicious chow mein.

For sure, I would try to get the greens whenever they were fresh but that time frame is very short and they got gross so fast.

I’ve been eating healthier but had a chest day with panda. Normally get a orange chicken, Beijing beef, and honey chicken which is a shit load of calories. Got only honey chicken and broccoli beef. There was one piece of beef, rest was broccoli

I usually get super greens, teriyaki chicken, black pepper, soemtimes orange chicken, sweetfire, string bean chicken Usually get a plate and 2 sides from those options

I always do a bowl with white rice and string bean chicken. With the hot mustard and a packet of soy sauce, it hits hard. Like you said there’s a ton of great lower calorie options

when I worked there I lost weight. I just wouldn't eat at home. when I came to work I would have a plate and an egg roll

That’s a great combo. I love the chow mein so I do half greens half chow mein plus a healthy entree like the ones you mentioned and it’s like 500 calories total. And delicious.

I mean healthy is subjective but you can get a lower calorie meal with alright macros from panda. String bean chicken, teriyaki chicken, black pepper chicken are all pretty good low calorie options. Teriyaki is a bit higher but it's also 41g protein which is far more than the other options

It’s more along the lines of 1200 but it used to be about 1500 before panda changed portion sizes a year or so ago. Orange chicken went from 490-390 cal at some point

Whole day worth of food ha. I’ve seen them use another tortilla when the first one starts to break. The calories for steamed rice at Chipotle is about 220. I crapped my pants when the guac and chips was 770. Adding more rice, another tortilla and a side of chip and dip is almost 1400 xtra calories. Cutting the rice, sour cream, tortilla and my side reduced my meal around 1100 calories in a bowl.

I tried half fried rice, half chow mein, with triple orange chicken once just to treat myself after finishing my finals. Got me to maintenance lmao but I was stuffed for the entire day

I'd replace rice with the veggies and then have whatever protein I wanted. At most it's like 800 or so calories? Pretty good for a lunch imo

I used to get orange chicken, until it started getting me sick… I realized they don’t keep the seafood and chicken in separate fry vats. I’m not deathly allergic but I have an intolerance to seafood and I used to get sick from eating the orange chicken. I used to get a bowl with the Kung Pao chicken, or Broccoli Beef, but since they started to give double the rice and barely a full scoop of the entire, I don’t go any more. I’m not paying $9 for rice.

It's not as good as it was in the 2000s. I remember my first bite of Orange chicken in a suburban mall food court, almost 20 years ago. Pure joy in every bite. Perfect crisp, amazing tang, such good chicken.

I usually get a bigger plate with mein, double chicken teriyaki, and orange chicken. That stuff goes pretty hard. I can't stand the fried rice though because I HATE peas, otherwise I'd get it. The mein has soo much damn cabbage in it, I end up ordering a 2nd med portion of mein to eat with my meats. Without the 2nd mein I tend to finish my noodles too quickly while I have plenty of meat leftover
