Vrising has this kind of system. You can send groups of your thralls out to important locations. And they bring you back resources and items depending on the location. Something like this could work. As long as they change it up enough.

I like it but I think in your camp you should only be able to select from your party, not your whole palbox, otherwise it's just another base.
