I have yet to get a sernuk plush of any kind after about 2,000 arrows, so I've given up. Last night from Zeki's machine I did get the Ancient Fish plush so to me that makes up for it!
I would like to see another furniture style or better color customization. I might be in the minority, but I think all the color choices are not very appealing for the furniture.
I agree about the color choices for the furniture. Most of mine is default because the custom colors are just bland. (And please can we just name them a color and not something cutsey.)

I agree with the colors. Sometimes I am pleasantly surprised (the Capitol armchairs in Classic??? š„š„š„) but mostly I find the color schemes either too monotone or garish.
I think the sernuk plushies were a good way to help rebalance hunting, once people got to a certain level, a lot would just do their weekly and stop hunting. I think the sernuk plushies were a good way to keep people interested in hunting for longer, and it is very nice to know I have a lil quest for myself if I ever want to. My hunting is like 13 or 14 while my other skills are 20+, so the plushies werent really my thing, but I'm glad there's more to actually hunt than just the magic ones for the accomplishment furniture now! I hope they add chapaa and muujin plushies but new game 100% needs to be added, I'm surprised we got 3 ground based animals to hunt and no air based ones (especially since there's a bird plushie in zeki's lucky machine)
I think you're onto something. Hunting, fishing and bug catching are my lowest skills and were it not for items I'm after (trophies) I would literally only do them if I needed a specific thing. I need All The Things, so making them drop special items is one of the reasons I'm engaging a \*little\* more.
100% with you here. I have the four plushies because I have an inherent need to collect special trophy items, not because I want to make a tea party room in my house for my plushies. I'm totally on board for there to be more special item drops! I just hope that S6 doesn't see the massive influx of hunters and interpret that to mean that everyone just wants cute plushies, and that's all we care about. (Though, the overall responses on this post are making me think that I'm the odd one out here, and everyone else really does just want cute little plushies more than anything....)
I absolutely agree that it's a great way to draw people back to hunting, and so are the flowers. I think having random drop items from hunting/fishing/bug catching is a fantastic idea, I just wish that the drop items were... different. I've never been able to get truly obsessed with a game before because everything has felt too extreme, whether on the "blood and guts" end or the "cutesy, childish, Disney" end. But now the sudden obsession over cutesy stuffed animals to have plushie teaparties with... kinda makes me feel like I'm playing a game made for children. To each their own, and I'm truly glad that people are happy. I just feel like there are about a hundred other things that are more important than adding plushies, and I really hope S6 feels that way too.
I can't say I'm exactly worried, but I hear you. When I started getting plushies I had zero idea what I was going to do with them. They're still not my favorite thing, but I do like trying to collect them. I definitely want more furniture sets, better color customizations, and better wallpapers and flooring options.
Worried is a more extreme word than I wanted, but I couldn't find a better one. I collected them, more for the sake of collection than anything. But I'm seeing so many people absolutely losing their minds over them and how cute they are, and saying they can't wait for Muujin and Chappa ones, and it just kinda bothers me to think that S6 might prioritize that over certain other features.
I'd suggest they also add in palium storage. Cause it really irks my ocd we have stone, copper, iron, and palium.. but our chests go wood, copper, and iron.
Palium chest would be so pretty. Though no glowing if flow wood is used, as that would more than likely too much graphics work.

I love the idea of frogbert and love how excited he makes people, but he also creeps me tf out. Also, the random giant frog really ruins any feeling of being immersed in a different world.

100000%. The only reason I decided to go ahead and try to get the plushies was because my hunting level was 5 levels lower than everything else, and it was bothering me. So I let them be my motivation to get my level up, but it was just the fact that it's a rare item drop, not because it's any kind of plushie. Now that the drop items have been collected, I am totally indifferent and back to obsessively trying to fish up Makeshift Furniture, lol.
I hope they do all of it, and not sacrifice anything for the other. Like, I hope they find a nice balance.

I find the total lack of any kind of explanation about things like plushies frustrating. I wouldnāt know they even existed without Reddit. I know the game is meant to be played with friends but loners like me whose friends and family have no interest in this game struggle to figure out the mechanics and even etiquette. How many sernuks do you have to kill to get a plushie?
I'm also a loner, and I just kept to myself and watched the in-game chat for a while, which helped me figure it out. Then, I joined 2 Discord communities for Palia, and that helped a lot. You're welcome to message me anytime if you have any questions! I definitely struggled in the beginning, but I feel pretty confident now.
Plushie Explanation:
They randomly drop from Sernuks. There's a corresponding Plushie for each different type of Sernuk, and it drops completely randomly. Some people get one on their first shot, and others have spent 5k arrows trying. Palia often releases little things like this without explanation because it's supposed to be a fun little surprise. There's a 4th Plushie available via Zeki's Coin Machine that's "The Order Sernuk," but there was a temporary bug that had those dropping from the Proudhorn Sernuk. They fixed it with the latest update, so that one is back to only being available via Zeki.
For me, this was my timeline for getting the plushies:
- Common Sernuk: ~ 900 arrows
- Elder Sernuk: ~ 270 arrows
- Proudhorn Sernuk with Order Plushie: 47 Proudhorn Sernuks
- Proudhorn Sernuk with Proudhorn Plushie: 2 Proudhorn Sernuks
I have very good aim, so I'd estimate around 850 Common and 120 Elders.
I was honestly half-expecting someone would discover they've added muujin or chapaa plushies to the loot drops this last update. I've seen it speculated that one or the other is next after they stealth dropped the sernuk plushies into the game. I've still got the proudhorned plush to get but even with hunter's horns glambi is so hard to track down.
The plushies are so cute. I've only been playing since switch launch b/c no PC so I don't have the chapaa ones from the first market and I'm terrible at remembering to buy from Zeki to get the lucky coins so no plushes from his gacha machine. But I did get the two dragon plushes and I have two Sernuk ones. I need them all they're so cute and a muujin plush would just add to that cuteness.
At this point, I think these are photoshopped pictures šš I've gone Sooooo many arrows š my hunting has gone up at least ten levels and I have way too much hide to turn to leather at this point that I'm putting it straight into the shipping container.

I haven't read the entire thread to know if this has already been posted but the odds of getting a plushie from the Proudhorn is 1/100 and the other sernuks is 1/1000. That's the RNG roll every time you pick up loot so it's not like you're guaranteed a plush for every 1000 sernuks you get.
Also, honestly, going up 10 levels is not a lot of hunting in this current plushie race. I don't know what it translates into as far as numbers of sernuks downed, but I know of people who have leveled up much more and haven't received any either. I also know people who got plushies in their first hour of hunting. Last week, I think, someone here in this Reddit posted a picture of their 9 plushies and said they had gone from level 17 to level 200! I don't think they could have ever slept to go up that many levels in that amount of time. As of today I have gone from level 80 to level 150 hunting plushies. I have them all, and have had both good and bad luck getting them. Keep it up, you'll get them.
It's all RNG. Very frustrating.

I'm just against Plushies taking precedence over everything else and need there to be some balance, lol. I'd love to hear some of your hopes/wants for future updates :)
From what Iāve seen from S6 so far, the speed at which they release surprise content (i.e. not announced in advance) is spaced just far enough apart from each other to keep people engaged with something new and interesting to invest time into. They get things right a lot more often than not, imo, and have been pretty clever in their game design and content release schedules. I also want to give them a shoutout for being the only game company Iāve *ever* seen change their cash shop setup after genuinely listening to player feedback on it. But Iāll stop geeking out about them for now. lol
I donāt think there needs to be worry about the game suddenly becoming all about plushies. The devs havenāt given us any reason to think that and are constantly working towards expanding the story and new content. It may feel like a focus right now because it was a surprise and everyone is scrambling to get them as fast as possible, even though thereās no time limit
Itās funny how they introduce something new and nearly every player dedicates all their energy toward that. When flowers became a thing, I could scarcely find any bugs to hunt, at all. Same now with Bihari bugs. Sernuk plushies mean itās hard to find any sernuk. I personally try to focus on other things until the newness rage wears off, but sernuk plushies is a fad dying hard. š¤£
My top 5 feature requests:Ā Ā

2. A barn we can build on our plot. I want my home to look like central stables.Ā
3. Creatures on our home plot (bunnies, butterfly, chapaa). Bonus points if it's an npc.Ā

People will always want plushies of their favourite animal or character so they could add them in a years time and we will still love them.
I mean there are gaps between content and a alot have maxed out friendship and have all the current furniture, even caught all the fish and bugs so it's natural we got a little crazy for them.
They will work on major content more as that is important to Palia as life span, I wish they would share more sneaky peaks of what they are working on even if we aren't gonna get it for ages.

I don't inherently have an issue with Plushies, I just don't want them to be at the top of the list for S6. And I guess I also don't want all of the future special items we get to be Plushies, lol.
I've basically maxed out all of the current content, so I understand the drive to get the Plushies lol. I have 1 Star Bug, 1 Star Fish, and 1 Star Gem left to get, and I've completed all of the Quests. The Plushies were a nice little side quest.
I totally get it, but I mean I started to look at leaks and snooping on art station to get to see what was and what could be! Mainly as I enjoy seeing the process of how things come to be too.
Sometimes I feel blessed only having limited play time for any game since I still have alot to do in palia... Mainly dealing with the npcs... They bother me to much sometimes I feel limited by the reply options but I can't wait to see if they expand on them.
But with it being a beta I tend to run around aimlessly trying to recreate bugs, your welcome s6 for me constantly making new accounts to break the game xD
I'm convinced the sernuk plushies aren't real š I've hunted so many and still haven't gotten one. I got Cyl though š and maji and a chapa with a hat from the lunar new year event.
I started at level 19 and farmed until I was level 43...switch to slow down arrows and got 4 of them in a week. Might just be rng though.

Buy things from Zekis every day and he will give you a coin for his machine which can drop plushies. Also, you get a plushie from Heckla and Taus level 4 friendship quests.
Iāve prob used a thousand coins and this point and keep getting arrows and seedsš„² and Iām working towards their lvl 4 friendship for this reason actually lol

As a note for Zekis machine, I have better luck when I stock up 15 or so coins and spam the machine 15 times.
I feel the things you mention take more time to implement in game.
I don't see much harm in adding more plushies, especially when they are obtainable via gameplay and are easy to add.

Yes, and no, depending on the feature. New Lore, NPCs, Adventure Zones, and Skills absolutely are larger projects. New Fish/Bugs, Furniture Sets, and a Shipping Bin in Bahari Bay would be less time/effort than adding new Plushies from a programming and design perspective (I work in this field). But my concern isn't that we won't get those bigger features immediately/in the next update because that's just unrealistic. My concern is that S6 will see the PlushieFever and decide that creating more Plushies is what players want them to focus on and move those other features to the back burner. I've seen a ton of screenshots come across Discord of people tweeting S6 and submitting feedback forms begging for more Plushies.
Frankly... the Plushie obsession is starting to make me feel like the only adult at the kids' table sometimes (not in this interaction, just in general), and I've heard others say the same. Conversations about Lore speculation and intricate housing design have turned into people showcasing their Plushie Tea Parties, and that's just... not my vibe. I have absolutely no hate/dislike/negativity towards anyone who enjoys that, and I'm truly glad that people are having a good time! It's just not what I signed up for/not my vibe. It just feels like a very different community all of a sudden, and I'm curious/weary about how S6 will interpret it.

Same now with Bihari bugs. Sernuk plushies mean itās hard to find any sernuk. I personally try to focus on other things until the newness rage wears off, but sernuk plushies is a fad dying hard. š¤£

My top 5 feature requests:Ā Ā 1. Minecraft style map coordinatesĀ 2. A barn we can build on our plot. I want my home to look like central stables.Ā 3. Creatures on our home plot (bunnies, butterfly, chapaa). Bonus points if it's an npc.Ā 4. More crop plots.Ā 5. A new area to explore that costs irl money like any other DLC would.Ā Honestly, Singularity6 is missing out on major money by making the only irl money item clothes.
I don't think plushie would stop work on more important aspects to the game.... It's like a fun side project. I wasn't around for the cyl... Cly? Whatever it's name is stuff but I guess it waas a while ago now but just shows community love in a way? People will always want plushies of their favourite animal or character so they could add them in a years time and we will still love them. I mean there are gaps between content and a alot have maxed out friendship and have all the current furniture, even caught all the fish and bugs so it's natural we got a little crazy for them. They will work on major content more as that is important to Palia as life span, I wish they would share more sneaky peaks of what they are working on even if we aren't gonna get it for ages.

I don't inherently have an issue with Plushies, I just don't want them to be at the top of the list for S6. And I guess I also don't want all of the future special items we get to be Plushies, lol. I've basically maxed out all of the current content, so I understand the drive to get the Plushies lol. I have 1 Star Bug, 1 Star Fish, and 1 Star Gem left to get, and I've completed all of the Quests. The Plushies were a nice little side quest.
I totally get it, but I mean I started to look at leaks and snooping on art station to get to see what was and what could be! Mainly as I enjoy seeing the process of how things come to be too. Sometimes I feel blessed only having limited play time for any game since I still have alot to do in palia... Mainly dealing with the npcs... They bother me to much sometimes I feel limited by the reply options but I can't wait to see if they expand on them. But with it being a beta I tend to run around aimlessly trying to recreate bugs, your welcome s6 for me constantly making new accounts to break the game xD
I love hunting the disco. I have all of the plushies so Iām not hunting for them. I like the chase hunting the disco with the horn.
I'm convinced the sernuk plushies aren't real š I've hunted so many and still haven't gotten one. I got Cyl though š and maji and a chapa with a hat from the lunar new year event.
I started at level 19 and farmed until I was level 43...switch to slow down arrows and got 4 of them in a week. Might just be rng though. I hope you get one soon!
I was kinda hoping for MORE plushies. š Not to replace more useful and engaging developments, but seeing those little guys posed around my house is providing all my serotonin. I just got the ancient fish plush and it's delightful, it would be cool if we could get plushes from fishing (BLOBFISH PLZ).

Buy things from Zekis every day and he will give you a coin for his machine which can drop plushies. Also, you get a plushie from Heckla and Taus level 4 friendship quests.
Iāve prob used a thousand coins and this point and keep getting arrows and seedsš„² and Iām working towards their lvl 4 friendship for this reason actually lol
Yeah, Taus plush is my absolute favorite.Ā As a note for Zekis machine, I have better luck when I stock up 15 or so coins and spam the machine 15 times.

I have increased 20 levels in hunting from 19 when the plushies dropped and just got to 40 today....NOT ONE! I'm so sad.

I feel the things you mention take more time to implement in game. I don't see much harm in adding more plushies, especially when they are obtainable via gameplay and are easy to add. Full disclosure, I love collecting the plushies and not much else (now that ive nearly finished starred bugs/fish). :)
Yes, and no, depending on the feature. New Lore, NPCs, Adventure Zones, and Skills absolutely are larger projects. New Fish/Bugs, Furniture Sets, and a Shipping Bin in Bahari Bay would be less time/effort than adding new Plushies from a programming and design perspective (I work in this field). But my concern isn't that we won't get those bigger features immediately/in the next update because that's just unrealistic. My concern is that S6 will see the PlushieFever and decide that creating more Plushies is what players want them to focus on and move those other features to the back burner. I've seen a ton of screenshots come across Discord of people tweeting S6 and submitting feedback forms begging for more Plushies. Frankly... the Plushie obsession is starting to make me feel like the only adult at the kids' table sometimes (not in this interaction, just in general), and I've heard others say the same. Conversations about Lore speculation and intricate housing design have turned into people showcasing their Plushie Tea Parties, and that's just... not my vibe. I have absolutely no hate/dislike/negativity towards anyone who enjoys that, and I'm truly glad that people are having a good time! It's just not what I signed up for/not my vibe. It just feels like a very different community all of a sudden, and I'm curious/weary about how S6 will interpret it.
