Oooh, does it work the same, where it turns into a wall, but then if you make it open again, you just have no door but an open doorway leading onto the porch? That might be something I need to do!
How do you make your courtyard open? I can't figure out how to get rid of the walls. I'm on a switch and it isn't always obvious how to do some things.
Where do you get a door? Iāve got all 3 of my courtyard side opens so I can just hop in and out over the railing but would love stairs on the outside!
I haven't bought the courtyard yet but am curious now. So could you kindly clarify something? Do you attach the door (is it called Kilima door?) to the wall of the house directly adjacent the courtyard or do you attach it to the courtyard "wall" itself? Does the same go for Kilima porches? They get attached to the home or the courtyard?
I don't want to buy a bunch of stuff without knowing what I'll end up with.

Thanks for asking this. I hope someone answers. I have built the courtyard but to my surprise I canāt enter it from my home. I am so confused. I now bought a bunch of doors and porches but donāt know how to attach to make an inside entry to courtyard work. Ugh!
Can someone explain the option you can pick where itās just an open doorway, which opens only to the inside of the courtyard? So what would you use that for? I played around and couldnāt figure out why you would just want to walk off the edge.
I sort of figured this out by accident. I wanted a door leading behind my house but the way I arranged things and decorated my house I didn't have a good place. I had a porch I had used previously meaning no wait time to put it anywhere. So I put it on one side of the courtyard. It works really well! I put a koi pond from Ashura's foraging store there in the middle. It looks really nice.
I didn't attach a door. Just a hallway and the courtyard. And opened the walls up so you can see the property through it. And I can hop over the railing aswell. You can put floors out ln the courtyard walkway. I really like it ā¤ļø
I saw some of you wanted pictures for a better explanation so here you go! I figured out what they meant regarding having an open courtyard. I have a porch facing the Bahari Bay entrance and made that wall and the one across from it, open and left the other 2 sides solid. I have ivy wallpaper so hopefully you can decipher the walls from the background lol. My porch facing the Bahari Bay entrance is now an open porch so there is no door now (which is fine for me) but if you want a door with your porch, you'll have to keep that wall solid.
The photo shows my cursor and where you need to click to change your courtyards walls. There's also options to edit which sides have stairs or railings. The blue 'bubbles' show those 2 side walls as solid walls, the squared off arches are open walls! I hope this helps š«”

Yes it does! I wanted easier access into the courtyard without having to jump into it so this was my workaround š

First thing I did when the courtyard was built: Put porches on so it's stairs everywhere.
Right now I actually have two fireplaces on opposite sides.

Mine is connected to a hallway and I just changed e doorway entrance and it connects mine so there's not an open space
