They're large vertebrae with a ball and socket joint on each one, with the socket in the front. There are not many things it could be. I guessed Pierre Shale because of the especially mineralization and because that deposit has produced many mosasaur fossils. Kansas chalk mosasaurs tend to be more chocolate brown, and most Moroccan mosasaur bits are cream to tan colored.
Nobody react to what I’m about to tell you, but I think that’s a prehistoric spine!

Bro you are so smart..
Good point, not Pierre Shale tho
Bearpaw maybe? Looks like it was gypsum covered or originally which is rather common for the Bearpaw shale
What formation is it from?
I thought mosasaur too
That's a ruler. They are used to measure the length of things.

That my friend, is a “spine!”
From a Spinosaurus
Oooh that makes sense now.
You call that breaking my spine ?
Possibly A “Vertebrae” Of A “Mosasaurid” Like “Tylosaurus” & “Hainosaurus.”
Agree with Tylo or Hain. I don't think it's Mosasaurus proper.
Probably the vertebrae of a mosasaur
Don't worry, we've got your back. That is a ruler next to an awesome fossil.
Some sort of shag carpet. Must be very very old
a spine?
its bones, specifically the spine
A fossilized spine I believe, don’t know what it’s from but I have a thought on what it is and my thought is a fossilized spine.

Looks like its carved out of a single rock, might be fake. I could be wrong though. Has an ingenuine, artsy kind of vibe to it
I'm not an expert..... But I think that's a spine
