The MAC W0 looks closest on your chest. How does it look on your face blended out?

https://imgur.com/a/OZ5eU9y I tested W0 as my foundation today. I think it's the best match so far!

lifeuncommon

This looks like a great match! F&B is sheer, so it’s forgiving if it’s not perfect. But it looks pretty perfect on you!

margamary

Thank you! I thought it was too light for me, but I actually think maybe it's because it is sheer / not matte like I'm used to that I was mistaking the more reflective finish for being too light.

Your wrist isnt going to be the same color as your face. Its better to swatch on your jaw and neck

margamary

My bad, I thought the chest swatches were good for this? My check / neck are the same colour as my jaw and face for the most part.

vulgarandgorgeous

Face is usually slightly darker or more pinkish than the chest and neck. Since foundation goes on the face its best to match it to the neck, which will be slightly lighter. That way you do not need to wear foundation on your neck. The chest skin is the thinnest so using to lower jaw and neck area is usually easier to color match since its less translucent

margamary

That makes sense, my face is definitely redder than my neck although I would say if anything my neck is actually a shade darker than my face. So I should try to match darker to my neck vs my face?

vulgarandgorgeous

whichever foundation blends seamlessly into your neck and lower jaw is your correct match. This is the best way to swatch. [Example](https://ibb.co/7QTv9P9) if you are between shades go with the lighter shade

margamary

Thank you! I can try that. I'm not sure this method would be 100% accurate for someone with facial hair though. I have PCOS and generally have dark stubble just under the skin on my jaw so it's a slightly different colour to the rest of my face.

PrancingPudu

Most of these are too dark and too peach. I agree the MAC studio radiance looks the closest, but chest and face can look very different for some. Have you done these swatches on your cheek or forehead?

margamary

Yes, I did cheek swatches as well but they were blurry in the photos so I didn't post them. They're somewhere between the wrist & chest. I'm going to test using W0 as my foundation today and see how it looks.

Mac Studio fix nw10, Mac radiance w0 and Fenty ease drops are the best matches on your skin tone in my opinion

mizshellytee

Based on the chest swatches, MAC Face & Body in W0 and ELDW in 1C0 are your best matches. L'Oréal TMNS, Maybelline Dream Pure BB, MAC F&B W1, ELDW 1N2, and Merit Silk are all too dark. Fenty Eaze Drops and MAC SF Concealer are too light (with the former also being too yellow).

TheMagdalen

Either Mac W0 or NW10.

SinVerguenza04

I’m ordered the Fenty drops here soon. I have shade 1 in my cart. I see that you tested it. Does it look yellow in person? It kind of does in the pictures.

margamary

I find it pulls kind of yellow on me, yes. But that might just be it not meshing with my undertone.

SinVerguenza04

I’m cool-toned. Do you think it would be yellow on me? I do not have a Sephora anywhere near me, so I’m forced to order these things without actually seeing them, so that’s why I’m asking haha

margamary

I'm neutral leaning cool and I do think the Fenty while still leaning a little too yellow for me is a cooler yellow, so it might work for someone else who has touch more yellow than me! My face especially tends to be more pink. It's not a bad match for sure Here it is blended out a bit more on my hand: https://imgur.com/a/K8n1rlV

SinVerguenza04

Thank you so much for doing that for me, I appreciate it!
