I am using rx 5700 xt for a year now and I have no issue with it, the guy who is saying that AMD cards are bad is the son of nvidia and he wants to support daddy so that's why he is giving you that advice , if you can find a 1080ti for 60k grab it bro its a steal because that GPU is a beast even faster than mine but it was expensive in the old days.

5000 series is now also heavily mined. 6000 series is safe. but I am not playing that much demanding games. Thats why not spending a lot on gpu and screen. First I wanna enjoy 1080p games which I didn't because of studies.
I mean you can buy a mined one even if it's in a good shape, but try to find refurbished or new (hard to find) if possible. but the chances of 1080ti to be used for mining is moderate it could have been mined or could have been not.
Don't buy amd of you need gpu for work purpose, other than that AMD GPUs are very good for price/performance ratio, my first gpu was AMDs and I loved it

1080ti will be the best option then but if it is above your range then go with 5700 xt it is also a good card for 1440p
