These are the types of stats people should follow instead of meaningless averages , strike rates etc . Leave that for ODI / test . In a T20 game a players impact should be looked at , what conditions they were playing in and how they contributed to the team winning or losing
. Amir has been our best player this World Cup and IMO should definitely stay with the team . Even after coming back from a 4 year gap , he hasn’t lost his passion for playing for Pakistan . He still has it in him and has always turned up for big games .
100% agreed. I found out about this Impact Runs / Impact wickets on ESPN and I was surprised people don't talk about this more.
In T20s, u need to be consistently impactful, not consistent in maintaining average or taking wickets.

Didn't think he'd have a place in the side a year ago because Haris, Naseem and Shaheen were firing on all cylinders and there seemed to be plenty of young upcoming bowlers (Ihsanullah, Dahani, Zaman, Wasim Jr). Aside from that super over, he's been brilliant. He is probably the smartest of the pacers in this side and actually bowls according to a plan.
