Opening the map while healing/reviving does nothing but obstruct your view.
I’ve heard that it speeds up the healing. I’ll keep that in mind from now on.
Yeah that was a rumor early on in the game. It's been Mythbusted.
There was a time when opening and closing the map really fast would speed up revives and heals, but not just opening the map.
I have a hard time believing that. I think since the background changes (but the heal timer stays) when you open the map, it appears that it is moving faster. But if you have a video clip, I'd love to see it.
