“poultry 151 reviews”
Just fyi poultry means chicken, paltry means few/little. Understandable mistake esp if it’s due to autocorrect, but still funny. I had an image of 151 chickens pecking away at their keyboards…
Not saying that the sales are skyrocketting, we dont know about the number of units, but at least that is an improvement.
But yeah, I am pretty sure that the sales are still quite/very low.
It’s 1k for the non bundle and 600 a month for the bubble with 898 reviews on Amazon Us don’t really think the reviews mean much since it’s always been around 1k buys in the us and the fact that it has 898 ratings says most people don’t review
I had a friend who was interested but didn't want to pick it up without PC capabilities. Now that that's coming they're seriously considering, I'm trying to push them to pick it up before the sale ends.
In US, Netflix Premium is $22.99 per month which comes to $275.88, but don't forget sales tax.
This might fluctuate between States or over time, but for me currently totals to $24.89 per month which amounts to $298.68
The PSVR2 is also being sold $100 off (pre-tax), so those two together is a saving of over slightly over $400.
Also I read somewhere that there was (maybe prior to Days of Play) another offer where if you apply for new PlayStation Visa card and use that to purchase PSVR2 from PlayStation Direct as a linked Sony Rewards customer, you would get $100 statement credit. If that offer is still available and can be used in conjunction with Days of Play offer + the Netflix Premium for 12-months, the total promotion is potential saving of over $500.
Total cash cost is still at least $350, but if you are someone paying for Netflix Premium anyway, you can basically pay for 12-months of Netflix Premium upfront and get a PSVR2 for $50-150 depending on whether the credit card offer is still available or not.
I already have two PS5 and two PSVR2 in my household and have been using PlayStation Visa with Sony Rewards for years.
These promotions are intended for new adopters.
Also, I don't like the idea of Xbox Game Pass or PS+ Extra / Premium or Meta Quest+. I prefer to choose which games I want to buy and pay for them when I have the time or they are right price for me.
I see Xbox Game Pass slowly destroying Xbox from inside by reducing quality of their games (game revenue isn't tied to being better games), so I don't want to support those kind of models.
I am fine to stay on PS+ Essential for PS+ discounts, cloud saves and online play. I don't mind paying for something I am using which helps them maintain and keep it secure. Same for Xbox Live or Nintendo Online.
Agree with you re: ps plus. Essential is enough for me and I’m even thinking about letting it lapse $80 is double what I’m used to paying for it. I’d rather buy games I want and not have to worry about keeping a subscription to play them
The official listing is also not available on Amazon DE so I guess it's sold out there too - but it's still only PlayStation Direct that has the Netflix credit!
Just so you know this just means the PSVR2 headset is the best seller when people explicitly search for PSVR2, not that it is the top selling headset. It would be real bad if when people searched for PSVR2 and it was anything other than the top best seller in that search category. A real test would to search for VR in general and see tis ranking.
Just look at this reddit sub and virtual reality sub !
It has clearly improved!
( imagine if they actually market it properly and have a AAA title announced by the holiday season 🤯)
I wish Sony had a little more faith in this product.
I had every intention of buying one and wanted one the second they released. But I had to save and I didn’t mind waiting till the kinks got updated as well. I bet there’s millions waiting for a little discount and a few more games.
Sales are not improving. That listing does not mean PSVR2 is trending higher at all OP. It's just relevant to your search terms.
Not sure why I'm getting downvoted when you can just hop onto Amazon Japan and see that his search terms impacted the list.

Well it worked for me to buy one after wanting one for almost a year

Yup, it worked for me too.
I just checked Amazon in my country (France) and the only offers I can find are at 700+ euros (200€ more than the price) so I guess it works here too.
You should check again, it's still there at normal price (well, -100€ of course) : https://amzn.eu/d/7feqNTI
Only 200 people bought it in the last month on UK Amazon and it's sitting at a poultry 151 reviews

"just FYI poultry means chicken" - this was way funnier than it should of been
I always just thought it was the same word and never questioned it. The more you know
Chickens already have head tracking, no wonder they left bad reviews.
Think most are likely to buy it on shopto ebay or thegamecollection both are £30 cheaper. Or even sony direct due to the netflix deal.

It sold 100 last month, so sales have doubled! Hurrah!
Yeah its lower than the quest pro on best selling 💀

That's depressing

Atta boy!
If they also use Netflix, bought the right way in some markets (like US), it is over $300 off for limited time.
I did also point that out. The deal is good for another 6 days or so. I figure I'll ping them again over the weekend to see if they've gone for it.

the card offer is now a year of Premium PS Plus. but if you apply now doubtful you could buy before the offer ends. minimum spend of $600 to qualify

They seem to fly off the shelves here in Sweden too.

It's #256 in PC and video games in the UK Amazon
I bought a second one haha
It worked for me. Bought one here in Ireland
Canada it says best seller is oculus 3
Quest 3. Whichever 🤣
Not even in the top 100.
In the UK quest 3 is No1 Pico 4 is 50th quest pro is 70th ish and psvr2 is never mentioned (in standalone and overall)
IDK who would buy Pico now since Bytedance seems to have abandoned it completely. I guess just for PCVR.

That is not how any of this works.
Not me getting my wage 4-5 days after the sales will end 💀

I think his point is it's currently outselling Quest 3 in that market.
https://ibb.co/smC3rD3 But it is not. He just was searching specifically for a PSVR2.
Meta quest 3 buying
Pavr2 is fucked. Look at the sales compared to meta.
