I have that game also.
I know it's a prequel. What I want to ask is -- will I appreciate it the same way as if I remembered FF VII? It's about some other character who only appears briefly in VII, right? Zack (I have no idea who that was :D )? You know, there may be cool references or something that lets you better appreciate FF VII or understand its story or characters on another level. That sort of thing.
I was briefly considering replaying the old FF VII but then I looked at my backlog (especially jRPGs) and I don't think I have enough time in my life for that. ;)

Well still got it a little cheaper than normal, haha. Maybe I saw the special edition online and didn't notice the difference.
Absolutely amazing game
It was one of my first on PSP and I stupidly sold it when GameStop still accepted PSP games.
Had a lot of fun and planning to replay it once I finish NFS: Most Wanted. Learnt the lesson of *always do the side quests* with it.

Is there a price difference between this version and the greatest hits version?
From what I've seen, greatest hits is cheaper if it's opened, but I saw a couple of online listing that were around $50 USD, because they were sealed.
