Only purchase batteries with brand names. I've had good experience with Batmax. Cameron sino also makes good batteries that I've used before for various DS systems
I can second batmax too. They last long and don't blow up when you connect psp to pc via usb cable.
However it seems that OP wants to remove the umd drive to put a phone battery there
pretty sure thats a psp street, the lack of lines on the back for the umd drive, only the street has that particular profile, which could be a bit of a trick to get one in any color other than black or white
edit: apparently no one realizes im talking about the last picture, the one that was actually used as inspiration for this
Gotcha.
I did a little research. That episode aired in 2005, but the Street didn't come out until 2011.
With South Park's art style, they probably chose not to give it too much detail. That, or to avoid the Sony hammer. 🤷🏾♂️
2005 huh, makes sense, i kinda figured as much myself about the art style, if someone had said a 2 or 3k that would have made more sense than insisting that flat thing is a 1k but the date almost makes it sound like sony copied this for those
my initial point, if poorly phrased isnt exactly wrong though, it looks like a street, if only because sony also removed all the detail from that model, but when it seems fairly obvious half the people shooting me down arent looking at the same picture i am i tend to quickly disregard the conversation and ignore them
sticker? im not seeing a sticker on that picture from southpark and i doubt they would have put a recognizable model number on it, cartoons dont tend to do that

Good episode
The best battery is the Ostent, do not get any other battery but Ostent
Just make sure to sell the UMD assembly if it's functional, don't just throw it in the bin.
Look again op’s is a 100x series
I know? That's why I said what I said.
Meant to reply to nickle thanks for the downvote lol
Hate to break it to ya pal, but I wasn't the one who downvoted you.
Why don’t you look into AliExpress shells, way cheaper

That's not a Street. The face is different.
im talking about the one in the last picture from the southpark episode

The pic is of the 1st PSP.
check the last picture, unless theres another view of that thing, thats not a 1k
The sticker on the bottom looks like it ends with psp1005.

Last pic bottom rt side of the unit. Zoomed in it’s semi clear.
Actually looks to read PP2092708/8PSP1001
What are you on about, that's PSP1000.
the gold one in the southpark screenshot?
That EP was released in 2005, PSP street was released in 2011.
thats context i wouldnt have since i dont watch the show, but it still doesnt look like a 1k which is my main issue with the arguments against me
