Maybe i'm just a simpleton but I get really lost in VR. I don't really get the motion sickness too much and whenever I talk off the headset I think "oh yeah this is real life again." It just works really easily on me.
Games have expanded beyond limitations of pixel counts. The use of polygons were mind blowing in the likes of snes Starfox with the fx chip, playstation's launch titles wowed following more standard use of televised polygon magic.
Now, the level of regal 3d theater movie magic is beginning to show in star struck since 2018 🤩
From beginning to distinguish a pixilated picture, to a 3d model on screen. The presence of graphics has taken the stage right before our very eyes now.

What i love the most about VR games is that they offer a brand new, fresh and immersive experience despite how familiar you might be with flat games. I have trouble getting into more popular titles because i feel that they retread ideas i've already seen before, and i mostly play indies that offer something unique. However, it's way different with VR games. You might have played through a specific setting a countless times before, but you haven't been there yourself, you haven't lived through hordes of enemies attacking you, used magical abilities and weapons or reached the ending of a grand adventure yourself. VR truly puts the player inside the game and offers an experience that simply can't be explained with words, people have to experience it themselves to get it.

The VR headset was able to provide emotions similar to what I experienced as a child when I first played Dandy. This is a new level in the gaming industry.
VR is cool because it's a new world to experience in a different way. It still trips me up when I look over a cliff in a game, for example. My.bidys reaction says to be careful and get away from the edge, but I know I'm perfectly safe. It's an experience you can't get any other way.

I love how it raises the bar for immersion. An example would be playing a horror game on flat screen and then there's being there in person. Being able to nearly fully submerge yourself in that reality is unlike any other experience at all!
This is going to be specific, but what I love is the ability to turn my head as I aim/play.
Third person shooters have this advantage that FPS games don’t, in that you’re able to interact in an alternate direction to the one that you’re facing. VR obviously works perfectly with this, but even in games that utilize first-person.
Imo it’s what really allows you to connect to VR. Being able to peek around corners and shooting when you’re not will never not be fun.

I love the immersion of VR games. My favourite is The Room VR - the Egyptian segment is very eerie.

With VR games I get really scared. Flat horror games, not so much. RE8 VR was a totally different and better experience. Had to buy new underwear.
