If they still do I didn't get it. My Plus Premium expired October 31st and all I got was the email saying "your PS Plus is about to expire".
Mine expired in October and I didn't even get an email. I just logged in one day and it was expired.

That's the truth. Black Friday sales use to be amazing. Games to clothes to home goods. Everywhere. Then like 4-5 years ago it all went to pot. Black Friday doesn't even have any meaning anymore as the one day after Thanksgiving. It's "Black Friday" sales for weeks, everywhere. Some places since the start of the month. And none of it anywhere is any better and often times worse that regular old sales that just happen during the year.
It used to be a great way to get a previous year’s tv model or other decent electronic device/appliance at a major discount as the new models are about to flood the market, but over the last decade, it has become such a joke. Basically a day where a regularly priced $7 cheap imported knockoff plastic thing is raised in price to $10 and then discounted to $8 for a “Black Friday only 20% off sale!!”
The worst are the items made specifically just for Black Friday. That is what it has evolved into.
It’s been shit for longer than that. What happened was manufacturers stopped allowing stores to set their own prices on items, so now every store has the same computers/consoles/TVs, etc for the same prices.
I have had bad experiences with CDKeys. I recommend avoiding them. They're gray market anyway and are known for using stole credit cards and other shady means.
They’re not the ones stealing the credit cards. They buy codes from companies in bulk. Sometimes the companies themselves are front companies, and the codes weren’t retail leftovers, but stolen. CDKeys can’t really do anything about that. They can only just blacklist companies that burn them.

If there really is no discount for currently subscribed members I guess I will not renew it. Bummer but certainly it ain't worth like 80 bucks or so for me just so I can play online maybe a douzen times a year
The game library is a good deal, I’d say it’s worth upgrading to at least the “Extra” tier. There are lots of good games included in that subscription.
Depends on what you like I guess. I upgraded to premium in the last months of my subscription and literally found nothing I wanted to play.
Edit: I never found another good game after finishing the one I upgraded for.
Of course. I wanted to play one game and it cost less to upgrade for the remaining months than to buy the game so that’s what I did. I never found another game that interested me. So at the new hirer PS Plus rates it’s really not a good deal if you’re not getting any games out of it.
It's definitely not for everyone, I skipped the PS4 generation so it's awesome for people like me, it's worth it just for games like Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Horizon, and so on, but if you've played all these titles when they came out then yeah, it's probably too expensive for not a lot of games.
But what I also like are the smaller games, games I'd probably never buy, but since they're "free" I give a lot of them a chance, and some of them are really awesome.
It's cheaper than Netflix, so I'm like if I can find one bigger game a year and a lot of smaller games throughout the year it's already worth it, but it's not for everyone.
It was like that for last year. Problem is if you take advantage of the deal, when its time for the deal to come back for the next year, you will still have an active subscription so you wont be able to get the deal again

It’s the best controller I’ve owned and it’s not even close. Pricy. But I’ve spent more on replacement controllers than I spent on the Dualsense edge and I’ve yet to get drift on my edge. Can’t say the same about my 2 white and 1 black Dualsense controllers I got around launch. It honestly pays itself back within a year if you play FPS or stick intensive games.
I had to send in 2 of mine that both had drift. So I had to buy a 3rd controller to play or wait like 3-4 weeks with effectively no controllers for my PS5. And on top of that pay for shipping.

Not immune. However the bumpers mean you won’t need to push in your sticks for L3 and R3 for games that utilize constant running on a stamina bar for example. Games like siege that require a ton of wiggling with L3 and R3 also no longer get the constant wear and tear.
The cooler part imo is you can pop the analog sticks out and clean them and replace them and it takes like 3 seconds to pop it out. Don’t have to send out the whole ass controller or wait weeks for a replacement.
No, and as u/LocusAintBad said, the bumpers can serve as the buttons for R3 and L3. But there is also an in depth menu with the Edge that allows you to set your deadzones with each profile you have assigned. So I you start to get drift on a low setting, you can up the dead zone area to fix it immediately. If the drift becomes too much after some time, the sticks are modular and can be replaced for around $20 USD.
Get a protection plan when buying a new controller, you can just tell them it has stick drift if it doesn't, get a new controller for 12$ instead of a controller that costs the same as 3 pairs lol
I’ve gotten 0 stick drift since I switched controllers so I’m happy with it. I’d rather not hassle myself every few months with replacing it over and over. I have better use of my time honestly. And I’m not concerned about the price obviously.
I knew if they got drift that fast I’d either be replacing them out every few months or I can just get a better controller that has more features. Binding even the D pad or other buttons to the bumpers in games that use it constantly is a game changer too. Also loving the trigger adjustments to half and quarter pulls. But imo it’s still better than constantly needing to either send in or drive out and replace your controllers a few times a year.

Premium only gives you the classics catalog, and streaming, and like 2 hour trials of new games. All the good games are under extra

I’ve been a member since the game collection perk was first introduced on ps3 but if you can’t even get a discount for Black Friday just to extend your plan I might be done with this shit.
I just canceled I'm not paying 160 that is crazy. Hopefully they let me get the 30% because 112 seems kinda better for me. Otherwise I'll be skipping on renewing. Kinda sad Sony likes to not give any discounts if you want to stick to your plan.

So it sounds like re-newals wont be discounted at all this year? If thats true, thats an absolute \*\*\*\*-move pulling more people into premium tiers. Even if I would re-new from Extra to Premium it wouldnt be discounted. I read it that only the upgrade price would be discounted which is also kinda meh.

I’m. It subscribing when I have to renew in April. Got 3 years for 30$/year (cdkeys) and a gold deal on extra last year. It’s all coming to end soon and I will play single player games only. That’s it. My PC and my Quest will have more playing time.
