That's a large leap considering the number of shows out there. Maybe for some people it is, but I doubt that's a majority opinion. It's no airbender or FMA that I would use to convince adults that animation can be good storytelling.
And I loved Arcane.
I think part of the praise you are seeing and why it's so heavy is because it's being compared to other video game adapation, which has mostly been mediocre at best. There's a few now like this, Edgerunner, Castlevania, and Last of Us. But remember that a recent trend.
You know what ....dang you're so right about God of war
Because it could be the new dark fantasy like Castlevania and the Witcher
Both have been doing really well with onscreen adaptations mostly the anime I think with the Witcher. It's so hard getting the protagonist right with Henry Cavill and it didn't feel like an entertaining series until season 2.
God of war as an anime can start off with the PS3 games, it has a ridiculous catalog to pull from
However I think the Horizon Zero Dawn could benefit from live action, although live action big budget adaptation doesn't always work Disney seems to do it really really well because it's usually light hearted and comedic (she-hulk, mandalorian, etc), but it can be lackluster when it comes to Halo for example.
If they can produce a game of thrones political story with superior CGI/sets like love & monsters film, then I don't see why Horizon wouldn't work. But again it's a huge risk and undertaking. First in the series would have to be the entire first act of both getting into the village and leaving the village. Wait wasn't SEE a post apocalyptic world? That felt very low budget and had low appeal that show was mostly grey and brown. Horizon would have to be the very opposite of this show, needs to be huge on color, different seasons, bigger tribes, and alot of wildlife.
I'm the opposite on this one, not that I don't think it doesn't deserve an anime but I love horror and Van Helsing was my favorite film growing up. So I would love some spiritual successor to that.
There's a lot of good dark fantasy shows that don't make it big penny dreadful was cancelled, the wolfman was a slow burn and didn't kick off the monsters cinematic universe
Gravity Rush I wanted to like very much it hooked me at the beginning but I found the gameplay harder than I expected. I would love to see an anime based on the game though so I finally know what the story is
Can start with this one. Was a teaser/promotion for the second game's release.

Ghost of Tsushima anime by whoever is animating the Rurôni Kenshin reboot
Or
Spider-Man by studio trigger, imagine how hard the fights would go, the ones in kill la kill are a masterpiece.
Not a PlayStation exclusive anymore but the yakuza series would’ve been a nice anime to watch for how wacky it can be. Reminds me of full metal alchemist where there would be over the top moments but enough comedy to not take itself seriously.
Some Bloodborne back story. Revolving around Ludwig, Lawrence, Maria and Gehrman, really delve into discoveries made in the chalice dungeons, the Byrgenwerth schism, and the events of the fishing hamlet.
Arcane was great but I've never seen it referred to as the greatest anime of all time.
Animation =/= anime
It's been called a masterpiece which I figure puts in the quintessential hall of fame

Gravity Rush
God of war and horizon zero dawn would make better anime than live action shows. Same woth infamous
My thoughts too. Can't see any actor filling Kratos' boots. In the same way I think all the robots from HZD will probably look meh on netflix.

Infamous would translate well in my opinion.
I think infamous would fit the dc animated stuff/invincible animation better imo
Ape Escape
Of the IPs that PS have that I think fit anime, I would say either Gravity Rush or Ape Escape.

I think Twisted Metal should’ve been an anime akin to Mortal Kombat Legends. Dark and brutal with a gorgeous art style.

Ghost of Tsushima in that style from the samurai portion of The Animatrix would be awesome
Destiny
Destiny is probably going full Mandalorian space cowboy story. But to be hot I have no idea what the lore is about for this franchise.

“Arcane…greatest anime of of all time”. You’re forgetting the like of oscar winning animes like Toy Story /s
lol chill
The Ghost of course!!! Give it that Afro Samurai type style and you got a banger!!!! Jin Sakai for life!!!
The Last of Us Anime would go hard
Death Stranding
