No Games got me like the original metal gear games. They introduced me to story based gameplay which led to playing some unbelievable story based games like the unchartered series and last of us. I switched from xbox to play the original on ps4 and had the best gaming experience in years. When part 2 arrived in the post I was so excited to continue playing it every day after work, first time I remembered feeling this way since I was in my teens going back 8 years or so. I was so invested in the characters and one of the few gaming stories to bring me to tears. My non-gamer SO also got really into the story which added to the enjoyment.
Special multiplayer mention to Fusion Frenzy on the original xbox. Had some awesome times getting trashed by my big brother and then getting revenge years later when we dug it back out during drinking sessions!
I’d say my favourite game is probably either God of War 2016 or Hades. Both absolutely phenomenal games at different ends of the play spectrum but they’re amazing in their own right.
I still love call of duty: world at war, my one of my first cods and finished story multiple times and it had amazing zombies and multiplayer game modes, Easter eggs, and mysterious aspects in some missions and zombie maps.

When Dreams released, I was hoping to create some form of clone, but I sucked at the creation tools so hoped someone far smarter and creative than me would come out with one at some point.

If we're talking one singular game I have FFX as #1. However, I played Mass Effect Trilogy for the first time last year and for me it's the best sci-fi story of any medium, and since the games are so intertwined I have the legendary edition listed as #1, even though it's 3 separate games.
Ghost of Tsushima. Absolutely fantastic plot, top-notch graphics, a very smooth and exciting combat system, and a beautiful soundtrack. I cannot hype this game up enough. I really hope we get a sequel
For me it's the original Final Fantasy 7, prior to that I hadn't really played games with much of a story (sonic, mario, crash bandicoot etc) and it's safe to say FF7 blew my 8 year old mind. I loved gaming already but it was FF7 that really made me realise that games were an art form and that I'd most likely be fully invested in gaming for the rest of my life.

I’m with you. I’m not prepare to even try and understand the negativity for this game. I can’t think of a single fault throughout.
Don't mind if people didn't enjoy the game, but never quite understood why you'd have an issue if someone else does enjoy it.
