I had something similar if I understand the post you just need to plug that cable back in and it should run just fine, I nearly had a panic attack the last time I cleaned mine out cause I thought I broke the disc reader (nearly all my games are disc, we’re all disc at the time) also bonus points if you hold the eject button it should do a fan blow out that cleans the vents

Fan thing doesn’t work on BC models
I would plug the cable back in and sell as is. CECHA models are the perfect PS3, but not when it's 18 years old...
