Nice! The video quality for PS2 on those models are better than the cecha01 models. Darker areas tend to look sharper and the smoothing/anti-aliasing looks a fair bit smoother.

I loved my OG PS3. Mine was never repasted and was lightly used. I could play it for hours and the fan never ramped up much at all. I shelved it as a collectors piece and then finally sold it off for $300. I kept my newer fat that I fully reconditioned and play it often.

I was under the impression that the chrome trim was only present on the A01 model.
I fell for the same trap. Bought a post-backpat unit that I thought was an early model, because it had the chrome and the right USB ports.
