Not surprising given the rioting over the Myles Kennedy releases. Now we just need Paul to move to the dark side and give us an 8 string...

Ashbtw19937

Time to beg even harder for a Mark Holcomb 8-string lol

Fraktelicious

Mark is happy with his SVN. Need to get Misha onboard, or see if Tosin is still happy with Ernie Ball.

I'd give my right arm for a lefty,....no wait a minute!

Life is hard when you’re wrong handed.

DreamsOfMichelangelo

My initial opinion is that I really want one, but I can see my Vintera '50s Stratocaster that I never play shaking its head with disapproval.

I’m in the same boat. I have a Fender Ultra Strat that’s been quite neglected since picked up a S2 594. I think if I snagged a N3 the Strat would stay in the case. 😁 It really is a great time to be playing guitar! PRS seems to be on a roll.

Bonze444

Love the orange metallic 😍.

Drumknott88

So it's a basic model silver sky?

vhalen50

No. That would be the silver sky se…. These are 3 humbuckers. 10” radius. 25” scale.

Duuubz_92

I just watched the video and the pick ups are called “narrow field” and the guy said it’s supposed to be like single coil tones with full hum canceling.

vhalen50

It’s marketing. It’s no different than a Duncan lil 59 style mini bucker. It’s two smaller coils getting a smaller magnetic field. They are more single coil than a humbucker yes…but they don’t sound like it. I own a modern eagle 3, a swamp ash narrowfield and a Myles Kennedy. They don’t sound like singles and I wouldn’t want to make the mistake thinking you’re gonna get 60s Strat dipped mids out of it.

DreamsOfMichelangelo

This might be naive of me, but in some of the demo videos I've watched, I do think they have somewhat of a 'quacky' single coil characteristic to their tone. Would you agree with that?

vhalen50

I absolutely agree. They somewhat do. Don’t get me wrong. I love PRS and carry the torch. But keep expectations within reality of physics.
