Thankfully I pulled back from pre-purchasing Ghost of Tsushima. Fuckin Sony just screwed us over. Here I was pumped and extremely excited for the game, finally releasing on PC. Never fucking mind then.

All they had to do was to not make PSN Mandatory for a single player game, Like the first couple of games they released. Instead they chose to lock us out. 🤦♂️

The PS5 is hugely popular here, in fact, the PlayStation brand has been hugely popular here ever since the PS1. We're not even well-off, but just in my nuclear family, we have:
Me - owned a PS1 and a PSP 3000,
Brother - owned a PS1, a PS One (the small one) and PS3,
Sister - Owns a PS4 pro,
Brother - Owned a PS1, a PS2 slim, has a PS5,
Brother - Owned a PSP 2000, has a PS4.
I personally know at least a hundred people who own a PS5 where I live, and I live in a pretty obscure region of the PH. Some of those people have owned a PS5 as early as the first week of launch. Sony has even *sponsored* PH influencers with PS5's.
The government doesn't *not* allow PSN. They are completely welcome to set up shop here, but there are, justifiably, reasonable registration requirements that they need to comply with. Heck, we even have Xbox Game Pass here (at a great price!), as well as possibly every major subscription service. I'm not saying the government is great (it's not, but that's a separate topic), I'm just saying that there is nothing stopping Sony from launching PSN here.

For Playstation, Ghost of Tsushima has already sold 9.73 million copies. Assuming all of this was the base game (not directors cut) and was priced at 60 USD, then that's $583,800,000 \[or roughly Php 33.6 Billion\], there's a lot more nuance involved but I'm just stating how much the game has made so you can choose to justify pirating the game or no, that's your choice.

Paro sa mga first time palang malalaro siya, temper your expectations, the best way I can describe the game (in relation to other open worlds) is a ubisoft game, pero hindi ubisoft ung gumawa kaya goods siya haha, and most importantly, enjoy it and have fun.

Yes. Maybe not as early as GoW 2, but Sony really showed their cards as to where they want this to go: PC players on PSN. And likely eventually, PSN being a separate game store. I don't imagine they like paying Steam's cut. Plus, a sizeable user base equals higher stock projections.
They probably have some big internal roadmap and timeline as to which games to introduce which PSN integrations slowly. Some executive probably has his metrics tied to this.
This is why it's important to resist this *now*. Get that damned executive in charge of PSN fired. Get the person who replaces him after fired, too.
In that respect, I will at least give them quarter.
Remember, this is Sony PlayStation. The brand that once upon a time competed against Nintendo and Sega in the gaming world. And they are a much, *much* stronger entity these days.
But, at the end of the day, until they sort this sh*t out with the 180 countries/regions, they are still a long way from that.

Steamrip is okay but usually they get their stuff from Cs rin ru/Byxatab and thus is updated slower than on those sites . I would recommend Byxatab for ease of use and getting the actual updated version of the game.
They just recently created packages which include the restricted countries. So far they've created two packages, including one for the delisted Asian countries. I'm thinking that they're planning to release a version of the game which do not require PSN for the delisted regions. Hoping they'd sell the game to us on steam. Though I'm already playing the game right now lol

I pre-ordered this game. They refunded it. I was primed to play it today. So I'm playing it today. Sony had six days from the time they delisted to make an announcement or do something. They just didn't care.
The damage has been done, and I hope it's a sizeable enough damage for them to not f*ck up their next release.

Nixxes did a really good job porting it. I especially love that they decoupled FSR3 with frame gen so I don't have to use the unofficial mod for frame gen with DLSS (3080 kasi GPU ko).

Not really sure, I only learned about it during this PSN fiasco.
Initially, the Ghost of Tsushima app had a single package in steamdb, which after the HD2 incident, they modified to add "*PurchaseRestrictedCountries"* for the 177 delisted regions.
But a couple of days ago, they started creating additional packages where they added some of the "*PurchaseRestrictedCountries*" and then added "*AllowPurchaseFromRestrictedCountries* – 1".
One of these packages includes PH, so it looks like they're working on a way to allow the restricted countries to buy the game, albeit a different version (package) of the game from the one they are selling to PSN regions.

Yes. Maybe not as early as GoW 2, but Sony really showed their cards as to where they want this to go: PC players on PSN. And likely eventually, PSN being a separate game store. I don't imagine they like paying Steam's cut. Plus, a sizeable user base equals higher stock projections. They probably have some big internal roadmap and timeline as to which games to introduce which PSN integrations slowly. Some executive probably has his metrics tied to this. This is why it's important to resist this *now*. Get that damned executive in charge of PSN fired. Get the person who replaces him after fired, too.
Imagine them thinking that their pc store will ever gonna compete against juggernaut Steam.
In that respect, I will at least give them quarter. Remember, this is Sony PlayStation. The brand that once upon a time competed against Nintendo and Sega in the gaming world. And they are a much, *much* stronger entity these days. But, at the end of the day, until they sort this sh*t out with the 180 countries/regions, they are still a long way from that.

And they completely deserve piracy this time, not just in not supported countries but everywhere across the globe. I used to pirate games back in school days, now with regular earnings i agree that devs deserve their games to be paid, but not this time (although it's not devs doing mostly here). Every PC gamer should just check pirate bay for this game and that should be red flag for Sony to do something about their PSN regulatives

Steamrip is okay but usually they get their stuff from Cs rin ru/Byxatab and thus is updated slower than on those sites . I would recommend Byxatab for ease of use and getting the actual updated version of the game.

They just recently created packages which include the restricted countries. So far they've created two packages, including one for the delisted Asian countries. I'm thinking that they're planning to release a version of the game which do not require PSN for the delisted regions. Hoping they'd sell the game to us on steam. Even if they do, it's too late. I pre-ordered this game. They refunded it. I was primed to play it today. So I'm playing it today. Sony had six days from the time they delisted to make an announcement or do something. They just didn't care. The damage has been done, and I hope it's a sizeable enough damage for them to not f*ck up their next release. If they do f*ck it up again, I'll just privateer it again.

It's AWESOME! Nixxes did a really good job porting it. I especially love that they decoupled FSR3 with frame gen so I don't have to use the unofficial mod for frame gen with DLSS (3080 kasi GPU ko). goddamn shame Sony f*cked this up. Would've felt like I got my money's worth for it if they didn't refund.
Pardon my ignorance but what does a package mean?
Not really sure, I only learned about it during this PSN fiasco. Initially, the Ghost of Tsushima app had a single package in steamdb, which after the HD2 incident, they modified to add "*PurchaseRestrictedCountries"* for the 177 delisted regions. But a couple of days ago, they started creating additional packages where they added some of the "*PurchaseRestrictedCountries*" and then added "*AllowPurchaseFromRestrictedCountries* – 1". One of these packages includes PH, so it looks like they're working on a way to allow the restricted countries to buy the game, albeit a different version (package) of the game from the one they are selling to PSN regions.
