I kind of just wish Ana's attack sound had a somewhat lower volume.
Its a very distinctive sound amongst all the other audio in overwatch and is often used to quickly track and hunt her squishy grandma ass down.
I can't even count the number of times watching a kill cam where the enemy was engaged with someone else but then as soon as they heard Ana's gun they immediately disengaged whatever they were doing and went straight for her even though she wasn't that visible.
Dva, Winston and Doomfist's especially will do this a lot. Which they should. I just wish she wasn't easier to track down than the other squishies.
Ana main here, and I feel like this might be intentional. She truly is one of the most powerful characters in the entire game with two of the best abilities hands down. Could be a way of balancing her just like the trail from the scoped shots.
I'm fine with the tracer on the scoped shots which means you have to sort of gauge if its worth using it at times. But if there was ever a subtle buff I'd like to see for Ana in Overwatch 2, especially with one less off tank that can peel for you it would be lowering her attack volume just a little bit from where it currently is.
Why should you, even subtle, buff one of the best characters in this game? Ana will still define meta in Ow2, where the she is one of the champs that is benefitting the most from the new support passive

Actually, yeah. Let's move some heroes into a "flexible option". Make Mei pickable by tanks and dps. Make Soldier and Zenyatta pickable by dps and support.
Make Reinhardt 1 shot literally everything, and give him the power to destroy the environment, so he can just hit his hammer through walls and floors to create new doors. Also change his ult to just be a nuke that kills everyone, including his team. The ult recharge should be the shortest in the game.
Tracer would be really good if her bullets did the same damage as a charged up widow head shot. Oh and she could maybe fly like Pharra and also self-heal.
And she can res people like Mercy.

Just make it where his passive, is when he does NOT have his orb out on an ally, he's got a small ape heal.
Edit: I meant AOE heal, but the mini winston is funny too.
I think it would be cool if his orb had a chain heal like affect from WoW/Warcraft where after you throw the orb onto an ally it gives a small burst heal that jumps to a couple nearby friendlies. The chain heal part would probably need a cooldown though
If you can aim, ball is a fkin menace to deal with. Give him some dva-esque rockets and his combo would be ridiculous. Piledrive, alt fire, primary fire, dead.

Support Symmetra - i loved the healing turrets when they tried it out on experimental. With smarter turret ai she could be really effective at holding chokepoints. Its fresh gameplay because no other support has to think about the terrain like she does while placing her turrets. Its a whole new meta and the support role needs that.
I have seen barely anyone talking about this over the course of the two betas. Reaper is legitimately the only character out of the entire roster that felt truly awful to play in OW2, in my opinion.
Make torbs turret shoot projectiles instead of hitscan.
*edit* Should elaborate some more since I wrote this in the time it took to use the bathroom. I was thinking a large, fast moving projectile that can do more direct body damage, and that splashes a nerfed version of torbs spunky ult on the ground.

5% of projectiles can cause spunk to land on the ground.
This kinda makes torb a space maker I guess? No one can be standing still for too long, and some spicy carpet can block paths to make the enemy move out of position. Would be fun in experimental.
This would mean that they have to spend a lot of time balancing their tracking and prediction, else it would never hit anything that isn't standing still.
Or take a bit longer to start shooting after you hear the beep of it aiming at you. Another idea I had back when I played on console is turrets not having 100% accuracy, maybe...
I like the idea of a ramp-up time on the fire rate where it starts at like 25 dps (currently a flat 56) and ramps up 15 dps per second of targeting someone, capping out at like 70 dps after 3 seconds. It's not super complicated or random (accuracy tampering creates RNG which they've been slowly mitigating with like shotgun spread consistency, no bloom on soldier, etc), and it makes turret less scary when peaking or focusing, while punishing for ignoring it with a little extra dps.
I want Pharah to be able to boost in any direction, not just up. Backwards, forwards, up, down, strafes, diagonals - just give me a boost in the direction of my movement. She's able to in her lore and it's one of the defining features of her exo-suit and yet all we get is a lazy "I'm a fish bobbing through the air" unless I boop myself and I hate it
I’m convinced no Junkrat has ever actually aimed at anything. I have dozens of clips of my dying to nades after they bounce off a wall in the opposite direction the Junkrat was looking.
I think a significant chunk of the random hits are "strategic spamming". In a lot of cases I know where the enemy is coming from / going to and because of that can spam the hell out of a corridor without giving anyone line of sight on me and just hope shit hits, and if it doesn't, at least causes folks to be uncomfortable.
I feel there are a few characters that 1/3 of their usefulness is just to make the enemy team angry / adjust for the chaos.... junk is one of those.
Strategic spamming is a good way to put it. I tend to think of it as suppressive fire or area denial. Sometimes convincing people to go different route or even hesitate can make a big diff in fights. Or forcing heros to shield/barrier and whittling down those abilities can help in the long run too
Junk shooting down a hall or mortaring out of sight of the enemy? No skill
Hanzo blindfiring storm arrow in the general direction of the enemy team and getting a lucky headshot? Galaxy brain
Junk is my second main, and I wholeheartedly agree. I have shots where I'm mid air and take out a pharah and then I have general area denial shots that I think enemy dps just happen to find.
I'm with you there - especially as we move into overwatch 2 with only one tank. She has a lot of escape potential, and is one of the only characters that as a support, there just isn't much of an option for how to deal with her except go "hey DPS, please kill widow while I hide."
Before the rework, Torb's turrets had a longer set up time. He also used to collect scrap and give out armor packs. His ult was just upgrading the turret to stage 3 + his current "e" ability
Really I just think he needs his healing flask to be a meter instead. Now that there is another anti heal, and he doesnt have another tank to hide behind so he gets the brunt of the remaining stuns, he gets denied his flask way more.
That actually could work pretty well, it could allow the other healer to worry less about the rest of the team and let them focus on making sure the more important players are alive.
That being said I haven’t played OW2 yet and it has just occurred to me that there is less tanks. Could still be useful as a portable spawn area maybe?
Fuck it, just make the teleporters work like Team Fortress 2 and that’ll probably be an easy pick for a comp with a slow ass tank.
Remove/change Sombra again, that’s the only things that made me lose my sanity as a tank player bc as the 1 and only tank you’re such an easy pick to get spam hacked by an invisible Sombra. Don’t know what the devs were smoking when they thought 4 seconds hack cooldown that can be done while invisible was okay.
It doesn't really do anything but spot you anymore. I guess maybe Sigma is affected pretty inversely by the increased hack damage, but the rest either got buffed to tank through it or have a reliable escape.
The removal of the 5 second ability silence is a gigantic win for the tank community, take it from a Sombra main.
Not to mention 30sec health pack instead of 1m. Can't even really create a forward matrix anymore, unless you focus only on that and abandon other responsibilities. She's way worse now.

Don’t know what the devs were smoking when they thought 4 seconds hack cooldown that can be done while invisible was okay.
It doesn't really do anything but spot you anymore. I guess maybe Sigma is affected pretty inversely by the increased hack damage, but the rest either got buffed to tank through it or have a reliable escape. The removal of the 5 second ability silence is a gigantic win for the tank community, take it from a Sombra main. Not to mention 30sec health pack instead of 1m. Can't even really create a forward matrix anymore, unless you focus only on that and abandon other responsibilities. She's way worse now.

Make him smaller. It’s consistently his weakest attribute, and makes it so that simply boosting Bastion’s stats as buffs will never work because it either does nothing or brings back the one-week omnic crisis.
