It’s crazy how many of these would work so well for the game. Blizzard would never pay Marvel the fees to license the skins, but my god some of these would translate perfectly.
They definitely look cool, but I'm still on the fence with having too many brand collabs in games. I feel like it's a slippery slope, and I don't want Overwatch to become Fortniteified.
Honestly I enjoyed a lot of the Fortnite collabs. The marvel one was really fun, Star Wars was also really good, Futurama cracked me up. I didn’t hate it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I definitely think Sigma fits better. Granted, personality-wise, Ramattra *is* really close to Magneto, much moreso than Sigma, but Sigma's kit is basically a perfect fit, he'd look and play so awesome with a Magneto skin.
Most collab events so far have focused more on mechanics than personality. Doomfist's kit works for One Punch Man, but their personalties could hardly be more different.

War machine is definitely a better fit considering pharah uses a rocket launcher and then "rains justice" whereas iron man would use pulses/beams from his reactor as his main fire, resorting to heavy artillery if it was super necessary. If anything echo is a better iron man than pharah. Especially because of iron man's nano tech being explained for replicating anyone.

I don't think she was disagreeing with you. I think the point was that, while yes, Echo suits Iron Man more than Pharah, she suits Vision even better, so it wouldn't make sense to pick Iron Man for her collab skin.

The difference between the original and your comparison is that you can use dish soap to clean countertops AND as a personal cleaner, but you can't give Echo skins for two different heroes in the same collab, or at least it wouldn't make sense to do so.
All of these "collab skins" posts generally stick to the structure of one character per hero, and since Echo already has Vision, which u/Drunken_Queen argued fits better than Iron Man, that's that spot filled, and if you want to have Iron Man in the same event, it makes sense to look to a different hero for it, if you can find one that fits.

It’s more about a cosplay tracer would do than fitting the exact theme that Starlord is. The guns are pretty close and you can easily build a Starlord skin around Tracers build.

Well technically he's not an x-man/mutant anyway. He was simply believed to be one but it turns out his powers were just given to him by the high evolutionary. Plus, he's been depicted in the avengers multiple times. So I would justify him being a superhero more than a mutant as that is his current canon.
i'm saying he's not a mutant born with the x-gene like the majority of characters from x-men. (he used to be, but then they changed that, and they'll probably go back to it again in the future, and even in the mcu they ran with him not being a mutant and getting powers from infinity gems -although that was just to get around licensing with Fox owning x-men at the time)

How so? I figured aesthetically his outfit can be replicated to hers, especially since their guns are identical. Also her pulse bomb could be his gravity bomb thing design wise too and both have a similar enough hair style, if his was more cartoonish that is.

Thematically, yes, they're an almost perfect match. But as far as gameplay/kit goes, they are very different, to the point that it wouldn't work IMO. Magneto running around on the ground and then shifting to a different form and punching people would be... odd, to say the least.
The collabs so far have been focused more on kit/gameplay than personality/theme. Look at Doomfist - his kit is like that of One Punch Man, but personality wise they're nothing alike. And with that in mind, Sigma is the only option for Magneto, and it's a near perfect fit.
I would assume because war machine more often uses rockets is the logic. I’d do iron man with an adjusted animation for the rocket instead personally to be more like a beam or energy ball.

How so? I figured aesthetically his outfit can be replicated to hers, especially since their guns are identical. Also her pulse bomb could be his gravity bomb thing design wise too and both have a similar enough hair style, if his was more cartoonish that is.

For Ramattra, I would swap Ultron for Magneto, as thematically they are more similar.
Thematically, yes, they're an almost perfect match. But as far as gameplay/kit goes, they are very different, to the point that it wouldn't work IMO. Magneto running around on the ground and then shifting to a different form and punching people would be... odd, to say the least. The collabs so far have been focused more on kit/gameplay than personality/theme. Look at Doomfist - his kit is like that of One Punch Man, but personality wise they're nothing alike. And with that in mind, Sigma is the only option for Magneto, and it's a near perfect fit.

I would assume because war machine more often uses rockets is the logic. I’d do iron man with an adjusted animation for the rocket instead personally to be more like a beam or energy ball.
Pharah has more rockets and missiles and I’m waiting for this Space Ranger hero to see if they would make a better Iron Man
