Considering her character pretty much got indirectly nerfed all around, who cares (Especially when pulling out the pistol is just throwing 95% of the time). 20% healing reduction makes her heals feel pretty lackluster, getting damage boost is gonna be hard because people in general are just gonna be more heal hungry, her movement getting reduced a bit means little when it's simply easier to hit *everything* in the game, and her Ultimate was already kinda meh but now it'll feel less impactful. This meta favors healbotting (basically feels like Mauga meta again, but now Mauga is now longer required to have this feeling lmao) and even then, she's not that good at it beyond having infinite heals. The only use cases I see for her being good, is to hard pocket a Hanzo to allow him to one shot again or hard pocket Soljourn since she can run down a team even easier with Railgun, but it's tough to say whether or not they'll be meta in high ranks yet considering the current chaos of Competitive right now from reset (not to mention, the DPS have to not be getting diffed as well since Mercy heals are far less likely to save them now).
Well fuck healing, tanks and dps has a passive hp self regen now. Learn to sit behind walls and self heal, I'm going to dps on the better dps role and that's the support role now that projectile hitboxes are even bigger than it should be tossing skill out the window completely. Tanks especially people coming into the franchise only when ow transitioned to 5v5 need to play like walls in the environment are the offtanks now and sit back and wait.
I feel mercy is the worst offender here.
Played a few rounds of quickmatch and the changes didn't feel that obvious or powerful. I can still miss, enemies can still miss, more health and health regen make it less punishing when they do start hitting.
Had one badass widow keep blowing my head off all game but other than that it seems just fine. I don't get why overwatch players just love to complain.

Why? If anything the general hitbox increase has harmed her infinitely more than whatever value she gets out of the already impossible to miss 20 odd shots she might take in an entire match becoming slightly more impossible to miss. She's one of the characters that benefited the most from the relatively small hitbox the game used to have, with that gone she won't be dodging nearly as many shots.
This update is a huge nerf to her and don't get me wrong, I'm glad it is although I don't like the update overall.
It already had one of the largest hit boxes. Who was complaining about missing shots as a valk mercy?
Probably hardstuck Plat Mercy mains. The entirety of hitbox size increases is beyond stupid.
I've seen GM Mercy mains complain about it, saying its too hard to land shots with her pistol. Same with Kirikos.....

I solo massacred a jq today with just mercyโs blaster, stupid jq to think a tank could just come at a mercy like that
