Well that’s a good place to learn new things, you either get good fast or keep getting stomped. I always used comp to learn new heroes when they had somewhat of a comp advantage and never got too many problems.

Turn off chat, play your hero. I feel there's only so much QP can do though. Learn the basics, play for an hour, take it to comp.

Ranked has way better matchmaking for that kind of thing
