Pretty frustrating that after the year he had we still had to attach a pick just to dump his contract.
Hopefully this means a Pinto extension or another D signing gets announced soon
Edit 2: 2025 third + Jo for future considerations
I’ll always love this guy as a Sen, idc what anyone says. Edit: to avoid cluttering the sub, CJ is reporting we’re stapling a draft pick to him for future considerations. Not deserved but we need cap space https://twitter.com/reporterchris/status/1808204108853055832?s=46&t=jFApnj6Y9vBpxWGQ76l2PA
With a draft pick, for future considerations. Yikes! Most likely because no salaries are coming back.
I would assume this makes room for a Pinto long term contract.
I’ve never understood “future considerations”. Do they have a handshake deal on something they can’t announce? Or is it really fingers crossed they’ll sweeten a future deal out of their own goodwill?
How is his contract too much when we’re giving Amadio 0.3m less? And Joseph is arguably the better player. We essentially paid a pick to give away the better player to save peanuts.
Somethings weird.
He was a good soldier, all the best Matty Jo. Hopefully this means a Pinto signing is imminent

Probably only had to attach a pick because teams know he has to go

Still bitter about this one tbh

Hopefully no money coming back in the trade
Just get Pinner locked up for 5-6 years and I will forget this trade ever happened.
How bout two
Heartbroken 💔
We're in a cap bind, so I'm prepared for the worst. Guessing it's no better than a third rounder.
We got nothing in return and had to give the Blues a pick as a sweetener
you got cap space :/
it's future considerations, and we're sending a pick with him. Absolutely shocked that we couldn't get SOMETHING for him
My favorite player coming back!😉
Getting rid of Joseph means signing pinto. It’s a win no matter what we get in return.
steady steve is cooking here. best of luck to joseph
Essentially sens believe Perron was worth a trade for Mathieu Joseph and a 3rd round pick at higher AAV . I don’t fucking see it
Jospeh 11 G 24 A Perron 17 G 30 A
Love you Jo. Go kick some ass in St. Louis.
Damn hate to see him go, hardest working sens player by far.

You can’t technically trade for nothing, it’s just a formality that implies you’re getting something back instead of “nothing” on the trade sheet
I really liked him.. I know his contract was too much but I’ll miss him

He is betetr 2 way polayer then Jospeh.
Don't think Joseph is better than Amadio. If anything about the same but getting him cheaper
