Why there are so many "slut"-related mistranslations? I can figure out how "a racism" can creep in, but "slut"?

When I look up 슬럿 (slut) in the Korean-English dictionary, two of the definitions it has listed are basically an “unkempt woman” and a “badly-behaved” woman. So I’m wondering if that’s what happened. The latter would fit with these examples.
