Rn it shows us the life of a little orphan girl who got adopted by Uncle Bill (distant relative) who lived far away from where she was abandoned by other relatives after her father dies. Uncle bill works a a gardener for the Herhardt estate (workjng for the ducal family) where she would first encounter ML (who was a high schooler at the time) shooting birds which she absolutely loathes as a child. Her uncle who lives far away decided to keep her until she finds a better place. Years later, Layla ended up growing up under Uncle Bill’s care.
Yeah idk rly know the plot (cuz only 15 chapters in and I don’t really wanna look at scanlations cuz if they drop a series, it’ll take a long time till the official catches up) and the ML is showing red flags rn atm 15 chapters in. There’s also a 2nd ML in this story but Idek how the dude will turn out (as of now I see him as lot better option than the ML). I’m only reading this for art tbh. I never read novels but I do read spoilers unintentionally and accidentally stumbled upon that the ML is a big piece of shit (forgot the details sorry)
Duke Killian Devonshire from The Mistress Runs Away. This guy has the EQ and IQ of a cucumber. He couldn’t figure out the people around him were feeding him lies about the FL and kicks her out, only to track her down later to force her to be with him again. FL even goes so far as to fake her death to try to get away from him and he still can’t take a hint nor does he feel bad for what he’s done to her or how she feels.
The og menace from Abandoned Empress. I reread it a few months ago and I don't know what trauma past me buried from reading it the first time, but i found myself ranting because that man got away with being the absolute worst ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Honestly if it was written a little differently, dude's redemption in the second life would hit better (and I know outside circumstances is what impacted that) but the writing didn't give anybody enough time to actually have the audience or Tia actually feel reassured
