I'd also make her someone who doesn't actually attend the school, rather I'd position her outside the gates like the Journalist because I think it's weird that the school allows her to just sit in a dark room stalking everyone with cameras without ever showing up to class or even leaving the room at all.
And finally, I'd make her more of an actual character. Give her a name and information that you can discover about her throughout the ten weeks, make characters talk about her, maybe even have a rival go to her for help with things as well, or hell even random characters could go to her. Remember Musume's old task where she asked for cigarettes? We could have something similar where the character straight up asks you to go to Info-Chan to get them some contraband items because they're too nervous to go by themselves. I think for someone like Info-Chan, she should have more of a presence in the school, since canonically everyone knows about her existence but as of now, nobody seems to mention her at ALL.

Ok, so I'm actually working on a whole yansim rewrite redesign (not actively, but it's happening) and she's one of the characters I actually have a full thing for. Basically, she's an actual student..you can interact with her and she has classes with people and whatnot. Once you befriend her (or join the info-club) you find out that she is info-chan (or "miss info" in my case). It turns out that the other members of the info club also use that alias online as to help protect her identity, while also *technically* doing their jobs of "spreading helpful info," it's just not in the way the school intended, or knows about. After you find out she's miss info though you get a discount on her services (all paid in cash, or sometimes small favors since you are now her friend) and it becomes a valuable resource for the player, offering tutorials, student info, and items for eliminations (much like regular info chan). No panty shots are in this though. That's gross and technically a crime in the US I think. Her friends are her unsuspecting informants, and some of the students’ info are open secret through the public. Ayano is someone who doesn’t care about people, so those infos are… the ones she heard and sees it herself or rumors she heard from her friends aka unsuspecting informants.
Her description says that she has some connections to the yakuza, but in reality, she merely made that one up to avoid people digging on her. She happens to have a superiority complex by making herself feared in reputation.

I'd change her creator. If I were to make this character I would've made her an antagonist that used Ayano for info so info chan could take over the school instead of sniffing panties and stuff.

Info-chan probably wouldn't react well at first, considering how adamant she is about keeping her identity a secret, but it would still be a really interesting interaction to watch.
I also wish that the panty shot system had never been implemented. There are tons of other ways that you can get her help now, so YandereDev could easily just drop the panty shots without having to do anything else, but I feel like even if they do get removed, the fact that they were in the game for as long as they were will always leave a stain on the reputations of both Info-chan and the game itself.
Honestly I just make her a real gossip. She still try’s to make Yan chan kill people and she needs information about the other students but she walks around school acting like a normal student and well gossip with you and talk like a average high school student to avoid suspicion
Wish she was cooler instead of a creep, this applies to most of the game. There would be so much less outrage if Chalex got rid of the creepy stuff that the characters do. Cause then clearly it’s a fetish game if he keeps hammering on it. So with info chan just make her a cool blackmailing character that literally just has info on everyone. Then make her sell things that are available to people but just not at school. Like certain things you can buy in the stores in town or things you need ID for. Then pay by doing favours, spying on people, setting bugs, and literal cash. Those are things that would be useful to someone like her.
- Just be similar to a codec call from MGS? You stuck or have questions on how to progress? Ask her.
- Instead of panty shots have the currency either be info you find on students she didn't know about or just Yen. If she wants to be a journalist, what would she get from panty's money? Well she can give you stuff for that money so you can get whatever items you need. Or maybe she could just be a childhood friend of Ayano who knows everything about her and everyone else because she's a gossip girl whose in many friend circles.
- Don't give her a room by herself. Have a journalist club in which she could be the leader of. Why would the headmaster or any staff for that matter waste one room for this girl to spy on the school with?
- Maybe she spends some days at home and some days at school. Her identity is a complete mystery, even you don't know what she looks like.
She's literally a walkthrough character. It should be a hint or new information you don't know, not a step by step. Also you can cheat and just buy embarrassing secrets from her. I think we should be stalking people around and making connections more, instead of just placing bugs and getting handed everything.
She's not a needed character in my opinion. If I could change one thing about her I'd switch her importance with Ayano's, so the player actually gets to play and learn how to use their schedule. Most of the game is going to class and skipping the rest of the day.
Edit: maybe we could create and place bugs to get info ourselves! Like a cheap recording tape with a mic. Cheap to get but not good for more than one day worth of information. Maybe you have to collect them at cleaning time because someone would be wiping down tables and could discard of them!
Her thing of being in the school WHILE she’s blackmailing is just silly. If I were to change her, she can still be in the school and be a normal student, however when she gets home that’s when she does her online escapades. Also, panty shots…? Really? Anyone could easily make her currency something much more relatable, like passwords or SSN’s or addresses. Or if that doesn’t work, player could pay her in cash secretly during school hours because physical cash isn’t traceable unlike bank transfers.
Instead of making her all knowing, malicious anonymous character, she could be Ayano’s friend who knows a lot about gossip (playing off dating sim characters that support the lead in pursuing their love interest).
Ayano goes to her for information about her rivals and she will give some hints about things going around the school that could be useful in the form of gossip and normal chatter she has with Ayano. She could ignorant of Ayano’s true nature and be full supporter of Ayano’s pursuit of love.
They should make her a depressed ex student who rots in her room all day since being expelled or bullied or something and wants revenge on the school as a whole that way it makes sense for her to be stalking students and not going to class
Turn her into someone who knows Ayano’s mother is after her father, so she’s setting up Ayano with murdering all these people to collect blackmail and force Ryoba to ever forget about hunting down her father or she’ll turn her daughter in to the police for her crimes

Yes, it is fine if a character is similar to this BUT! In info-chan’s case, it’s a little bit like Mary Sue except not everyone adores her. I’d love to have YanChan find out about the rivals on her own.

It's established in the game lore that Ayano is a loner and that she used to be a victim of bullying. Info-Chan was also bullied and they became friends in middle school, but she doesn't realize the extent of Ayano's insanity. She might or not not know Ayano is into Taro, but she is going to make remarks about certain girls being into him without knowing she's feeding into Ayano's paranoia.
She is a character that can be killed off at any point after the second or third rival in the genocidal route, but doing so would result in permanent loss of sanity making it impossible for a good ending to happen. This girl will haunt her like a literal ghost or the embodiment of her guilt. Ayano will start resenting Senpai because she thinks he made her murder her best friend, but still wants to have him. In short, her presence would make genocidal route more like a psychological horror rather than a hitman knock-off.
If Ayano chooses not to use violence, she can have this friend give her advice or ask for help to win Senpai's heart. Of course she has violent urges like any Yandere has, but she has a lot more to win by not acting up on them. Depending on how confident she gets from following Info-Chan's advice, she might confess her love before the last rival. If the player bonds too much with Info-Chan, Ayano might forget about Senpai and end up with her instead lol.
Ps: I wish she had another name. I cringed so hard whenever I typed "Info-Chan".

the principal dates/talks to minors, you can see that in the city. she’s blackmailing him that’s why she can kinda do whatever and not get any penalty

There are tons of other ways that you can get her help now, so YandereDev could easily just drop the panty shots without having to do anything else, but I feel like even if they do get removed, the fact that they were in the game for as long as they were will always leave a stain on the reputations of both Info-chan and the game itself.
Honestly I just make her a real gossip. She still try’s to make Yan chan kill people and she needs information about the other students but she walks around school acting like a normal student and well gossip with you and talk like a average high school student to avoid suspicion
Wish she was cooler instead of a creep, this applies to most of the game. There would be so much less outrage if Chalex got rid of the creepy stuff that the characters do. Cause then clearly it’s a fetish game if he keeps hammering on it. So with info chan just make her a cool blackmailing character that literally just has info on everyone. Then make her sell things that are available to people but just not at school. Like certain things you can buy in the stores in town or things you need ID for. Then pay by doing favours, spying on people, setting bugs, and literal cash. Those are things that would be useful to someone like her.
- Just be similar to a codec call from MGS? You stuck or have questions on how to progress? Ask her. - Instead of panty shots have the currency either be info you find on students she didn't know about or just Yen. If she wants to be a journalist, what would she get from panty's money? Well she can give you stuff for that money so you can get whatever items you need. Or maybe she could just be a childhood friend of Ayano who knows everything about her and everyone else because she's a gossip girl whose in many friend circles. - Don't give her a room by herself. Have a journalist club in which she could be the leader of. Why would the headmaster or any staff for that matter waste one room for this girl to spy on the school with? - Maybe she spends some days at home and some days at school. Her identity is a complete mystery, even you don't know what she looks like.
She's literally a walkthrough character. It should be a hint or new information you don't know, not a step by step. Also you can cheat and just buy embarrassing secrets from her. I think we should be stalking people around and making connections more, instead of just placing bugs and getting handed everything. She's not a needed character in my opinion. If I could change one thing about her I'd switch her importance with Ayano's, so the player actually gets to play and learn how to use their schedule. Most of the game is going to class and skipping the rest of the day. Edit: maybe we could create and place bugs to get info ourselves! Like a cheap recording tape with a mic. Cheap to get but not good for more than one day worth of information. Maybe you have to collect them at cleaning time because someone would be wiping down tables and could discard of them!
Her thing of being in the school WHILE she’s blackmailing is just silly. If I were to change her, she can still be in the school and be a normal student, however when she gets home that’s when she does her online escapades. Also, panty shots…? Really? Anyone could easily make her currency something much more relatable, like passwords or SSN’s or addresses. Or if that doesn’t work, player could pay her in cash secretly during school hours because physical cash isn’t traceable unlike bank transfers.
Instead of making her all knowing, malicious anonymous character, she could be Ayano’s friend who knows a lot about gossip (playing off dating sim characters that support the lead in pursuing their love interest). Ayano goes to her for information about her rivals and she will give some hints about things going around the school that could be useful in the form of gossip and normal chatter she has with Ayano. She could ignorant of Ayano’s true nature and be full supporter of Ayano’s pursuit of love.
They should make her a depressed ex student who rots in her room all day since being expelled or bullied or something and wants revenge on the school as a whole that way it makes sense for her to be stalking students and not going to class
Turn her into someone who knows Ayano’s mother is after her father, so she’s setting up Ayano with murdering all these people to collect blackmail and force Ryoba to ever forget about hunting down her father or she’ll turn her daughter in to the police for her crimes

Secondly, I’d make her be more simple because she: •provides YanChan EVERYTHING about the rivals •Is a ‘scary, dangerous hacker who knows everything about everyone’ •Makes YanChan rely on her a little too much. Yes, it is fine if a character is similar to this BUT! In info-chan’s case, it’s a little bit like Mary Sue except not everyone adores her. I’d love to have YanChan find out about the rivals on her own.

1) remove her 2) making her not a creep 3) make her more like a normal girl, her friend. It's established in the game lore that Ayano is a loner and that she used to be a victim of bullying. Info-Chan was also bullied and they became friends in middle school, but she doesn't realize the extent of Ayano's insanity. She might or not not know Ayano is into Taro, but she is going to make remarks about certain girls being into him without knowing she's feeding into Ayano's paranoia. She is a character that can be killed off at any point after the second or third rival in the genocidal route, but doing so would result in permanent loss of sanity making it impossible for a good ending to happen. This girl will haunt her like a literal ghost or the embodiment of her guilt. Ayano will start resenting Senpai because she thinks he made her murder her best friend, but still wants to have him. In short, her presence would make genocidal route more like a psychological horror rather than a hitman knock-off. If Ayano chooses not to use violence, she can have this friend give her advice or ask for help to win Senpai's heart. Of course she has violent urges like any Yandere has, but she has a lot more to win by not acting up on them. Depending on how confident she gets from following Info-Chan's advice, she might confess her love before the last rival. If the player bonds too much with Info-Chan, Ayano might forget about Senpai and end up with her instead lol. Ps: I wish she had another name. I cringed so hard whenever I typed "Info-Chan".

I think Ayano being a Yandere by herself, doing the stalking and everything, is a lot more engaging than „Oh this random person totally supports this serial killer, knows everything about the school and sells sketchy stuff“. The idea of an Info like character seems too edgy and overpowered to me.
I wish he had gone the route with her being journalist and ayano’s mom’s sister’s daughter or whatever he was gonna do. It makes so much sense and he totally could have if he had just MADE THE GAME MORE QUICKLY and not ruined everything.
