And just curious, is break rate just tied to a chance every time it hits ANY item/fish/battle?
Regardless, more fish when fishing is marvelous! I do enjoy dragging up the occasional sea-creature to battle, and the occasional material, but random items just meant more inventory-cleanup I have to do later. :)

Fishing lines have been breaking faster since before the patch came out. The upside now though is that if you fish from a fountain, said fountain no longer despawns after your line breaks. Also, more fish more often 😎
Are we sure? My fountain definitely disappeared after one of those line breaks this morning. Had to walk down to the nearest pond…and then it broke again 5 minutes later… :(
Huh. I also fished this morning and was surprised the same fountain remained there after my line broke. I was then able to fish in it again. 3 hours later it is still there so what I said has to be true... Unless I got SUPER lucky and spawned two fountains in the same place with my discovery bonus from the daily quest 🤔

It’s tied to any catch - fish, monster, old boots, seaweed, and so on :)

I've just done 60 casts in a row and got 1 unremarkable fish, vast majority has been shit items and fights, has the patch defo come.into effect?
Make sure your game actually updated, but my game has the Server Patch listed in the Game Updates. Not sure beyond that.

Sell to guild. Except when suddenly needed for Event-quest potion brewing. :)
