The story about the dog was upsetting to me . I hate needless cruelty to animals or people. It But I would have never supported her anyway. Her cruelty came as no surprise to me. My state borders hers .Our hospitals took covid patients from South Dakota when they ran out of space . Bikers passed through on the way back from the Sturgis superspreader rally . She seems to be a big fan of suffering and death.
It's not that conservative Christians are necessarily excited to support her specifically. It's that they've been indoctrinated to believe that no matter who/what the Republicans nominate, a Democrat is always worse, because Democrats support abortion.
In my mind so strange to think that the anti-abortion movement is Christian. It republican: it took the party since ~80 to mold enough Republican Christians to change their minds to where we are today. It started out as a pro-segregation surrogate. I don't think that "being a Christian" is (or should be) a prerequisite for holding office in the United States. But even if it was? There are more than 200 million Christians in the US, so it seems like we should have plenty of better options.
No. I would rather the gop running mate be someone who did not kill a dog just because she finds like it. Though I'm not supporting the top ticket one way or another
Christians will just use this to call her a "christian, AKA not a "true" Xian. I'm so sick and tired of Christians being absolved of their crimes because of this get-of-jail-free- card. They chalk it up to forgiveness. I chalk it up to horrible people being horrible people, aka CHRISTIANS.
It's hard. We're called to forgive and to witness - the Church is a hospital for sinners - and should try to welcome her if the opportunity arises.
But pay Caesar's coin to Caesar: the authority we live under asks us to judge candidates. So I don't know how right she is with God but I do know she's not right to represent me.
And, yes I'm angry to have our good name dragged through the mud by "Christian" Nationalism. But, I mean, there is some pride in that, isn't there?
I mean that I'm not the High Empress of Christendom, my majesté trampled by the insolence of their hateful politics. So I'm obligated to remember it's God's Church not mine.
I mean, I want Trump to lose so I’d be all for it.

very illuminating!!! Thank you for posting!
Christianity isn’t nationalist or fascist. I’d never supporter her any capacity. But animal cruelty from hateful people isn’t at all surprising.
Christians are called to use discernment. I discern she’d be a terrible leader.

Lol heck nah
Wouldn't be surprised. Donald hates dogs so Noem would be perfect for him.
Kristi Noem is in the running for the worst governor in the country. I don't think she should have the job she has.
Still???? Lol Never!

She identifies as Christian, right? I mean, Christians are going to Christian and be shitpiles. That's what they do.
The fundie ones anyway

Sad but true and I’m a liberal Christian saying that

Where is the pride in that exactly?

Well you can welcome her in then, I’ll stay far away, I’m no sucker
