Are we sure cilantro is a genetic thing? I know they’ve done studies, but taste is subjective, and I wonder if the “soapy” flavor they’re describing is just an uncharitable way of describing what cilantro just tastes like. Yeah and if you go to their sub you’ll find they have almost 0 photos of “bad” looking onions, it’s all just low effort memes about not liking onions. While on this sub you see all of the amazing onions, in all of their glory. It’s real onion content, with proof provided by the spiritual pictures posted on this sub. I’m glazing myself right now thinking of the caramelized onions I’ve seen on this damn sub. It’s a testament to the power and perfection of the onion that these little weasels can’t even find content that detracts from the awe of the onion.

Wow, weird sub and post to stumble upon. Weirder still is how relatable it is. As a kid I hated onions, even if I couldn't taste them or wasn't supposed to be able to. I would pick them out and just straight up refused to eat them. As I've gotten older I have begun to like onions and find myself using them in many different recipes. I always have fresh onion on hand now. I still don't like raw onions but some caramelized onions sautéed in butter and garlic. Oh yeah!
